I think they are still making an effort but sometimes (like in those surgery scenes with those gown things) it's damn near impossible to disguise it

Jac and Jonny have a lovely relationship now - mutual respect and affection. I think I would prefer it to stay that way rather than them get back together romantically but anything is better than the bitter custody battle!! |

I like that they are not hiding her away behind desks etc all the time. We all know that Rosie is pregnant at the time of shooting it and no-one cares, really!
I too enjoyed the banter on Darwin. Jac and Jonny have a lovely relationship now - mutual respect and affection. I think I would prefer it to stay that way rather than them get back together romantically but anything is better than the bitter custody battle!! As i say, even they did a good job of torpedoeing the relationship all though season 16 (from the moment Bonnie appeared until the end of the custody case) they didn't completely sink it and I do think Jonny and Emma is Jac's best chance of a sunset ending, even if only short. Term and i do so think she deserves that after all the ++++ they've thrown at her. I really do,'t think there is any chance of ever getting Joseph back now, even for just a couple of episodes. |

Yes, the thing that puts me off the idea of them having a temporary sunset ending is the near inevitability of a nasty breakup when they come back (assuming Jonny does come back). I couldn't bear to go through another period like last Spring/Summer.

I'd like to think that if they do give them a HEA and then the inevitable breakup comes that it will be a mature one without bitterness, with them agreeing to co-parent Emma as best they can. As you say, they have thrown so much **** at Jac up to now that she really doesn't need any more. I agree with you about Joseph, sadly. The only way Jac and he will end up together would be off-screen, as they implied heavily with Luc and Eddi. I would take that, though!! |

Yes, would have to be off screen
Of course a sunset ending could involve yet another man but I think they managed to do well to. Make Jonny different enough to Joseph for it not to feel lke a cheap replacement that Jac could still fall for - plus of course finding an actor that had instant chemistry with Rosie. The chances of managing to get that elusive x factor a third time, unlikely i think. Plus it might start to make. Jac look a bit fickle if she had 3 great loves of her life when she is so closed off. |

Liking the spoilers for the next couple of weeks. Hate to say 'i told you so' but everything seems to be turning out as I predicted a few weeks ago. Talk of Guy being jealous at Jac and Jonny's "affectionate interactions" on 31st plus the husband remembering what happened with the battery. Then the 7th has Jonny "laying into Guy for not believing in his iNnocence".

Will Guy fire Jonny I wonder? He could pick up a job in the States fairly handy I imagine if he went with Jac and Emma.
Maybe him firing Jonny then backfires on Guy which leads to Hanssen returning to clear up the mess? Yay!! |

As i've been saying the weeks, i truly believe that Jonny will whistle blow on Guy once he has been cleared, basically telling the Board and possibly Press about all the extra operations meaning staff had to work double shifts, we're tired and couldn't cope which lead to Julie's death - because it did, there weren't enough staff to enable constant monitoring, if steve hadn't been left alone he wouldn't have been able to change the battery. That when staff raised it (he wasn't the only one to sign the petition) they were over ruled and implicitly threatened with losing their jobs. That when somebody did die, Self basically organised a kangaroo court to make a Nurse a scapegoat rather than blame procedures. Etc, etc. That would be enough to get Self put under close scrutiny, if not actually fired but would also make it very difficult for Jonny to work at the Hospital so resignation. Plus, from a personal point of view, if he and Jac do reconcile they probably won't want to have to deal with Guy on a day to day basis but that is private so couldn't be used to get the Board to back them rather than Guy.
Really i'm envisioning a scenario similar to how Julian Chapman left Casualty back in season 7 if anybody remembers that. But once Guy has properly gone (which i think will happen at the end of the season) they will be able to come back and Hansenn would probably want them too as he was a supporter of both. Annoyingly i can't get the clip to work, what does Jonny say about being a family? |

"He say just as we starting to feel like a proper family And now I'm facing years in prison"
then Jonny says his bit then Elliot says 'not if I can help it' Also, in another scene Jac is talkng to Elliot and says that they cant send him back to prison, Elliot - I don;t want to but don't know what else we can do, Jac 'we can't give up on him' and in another scene Kibo husband is in HDU (with Elliot, Mo and Adele trying to get him out) getting upset because 'you haven't changed the battery' which appears to make Mo (and possibly Adele) put 2 and 2 together Have included a link to see if that works for you: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02mnt2l |

Yep in a conversation with Elliot who is (for some reason) holding a recent picture of Jac with Emma and Jonny's notes and says 'you must miss her'

Hmmm,this is interesting
http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/dh...ueeze-the-pips sounds like Jonny makes his decision on personal-professional grounds - wonder if Jac follows him?? Although wonder who Archie was?? Presumably the one who was moved, which enabled him to nab the top bunk before that other lad arrived. Also, notice its written by Nick Fisher so should be good. And am assuming from the episode title that this is the one where Jonny gets his own back on Self ![]() and am rather hoping that your guess about that scene is right kitkat!! It really couldn't happen to a nicer man if it is!!!!!!

Might stop any more Zosia's ever being brought into the World!!!!!!
Yes, how many cell mates did he have in what can only have been a couple of days? Maybe he decides he has got to whistle blow which means leaving, talks to Jac about it and she chooses then to bring up how accommodating the Americans were willing to be re childcare for Emma and that they might help him too. He then realise how lovely she's been without him even knowing (giving up the chance of relocating with Emma because it would hurt him too much) and asks if they all can't leave together for a fresh start. Given that Guy might well be horrible to her for being nice to Jonny, Jac might jump at the chance to get away. This does make it seem almost definate that Jonny quitting and leaving (along with Jac) is the episode 26 'shock'. |

When the Spring trailer first came out I said that it looked as though Jonny literally had Guy by the balls in their confrontation, as he uttters the line "you are not going to squeeze my pips" |

Have you seen the new Holby preview yet
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02kr14s have to say I'm a bit worried about Jonny!!! but do wonder (and am desperately hoping) if that scene of him and Mr (Up Him-)Self(-Obsessed/Interested)-ie* when he's talking about him not being able to squeeze his pips ( ) and wearing a rather smart blue jacket might be his exit line after all the police and stabby-prison nastiness (cos am presuming that's what happened in the hospital scenes with him on the operating table - I definitely saw handcuffs and that green thing he's wearing looks like prison scrubs to me) has all been cleared up, and that he then goes off to be with Jac (who makes him "very happy") because the scales have well and truly fallen from her eyes regarding 'that man'.Also, and know I've said this on the man thread but you can't say it often enough to my mind; thank the lordy lord for Henrik Hanssen!!!!!! Also love 1) Digby's haka; 2) the demon headmaster's appearance; 3) Mr T (always and just because!!); 4) the fact that Essie is back (and the fact that I think she and Sacha are playing a blinder on Zosia and Dom); 5) that board member (who isn't Mr Cunningham) and Serena; 6) Elliot giving 'that man' what for in his own inimitable way and 7) once again Hanssen, and his moral compass - cos you've got to love a moral compass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! * pick your favourite insult (there are so many to choose from - wonder if that was deliberate) |

I've actually just reread the interview and he actually says Jonny gives Guy a 'very tight handshake'. I still think I'm right about where though!
