Oh dear she does know he's with someone.

So, Joseph can find the time to take Elliot out for a nice lunch but not to contact Jac one to one. Also, where was this lunch? Elliot pop up to Penrith or is Joseph back near Holby which makes his and Jac not getting back together and him marrying someone else even more blah.

Glad she thought the invite was tacky too. Punching below his considerable weight. Ha, ha!

Joseph should never ever have left Jac
But he did and now he is utterly thoughtless and unkind.

I have to agree - moronic is exactly the right word.
It is incredibly tacky - I don't see how his mother or sister can have been involved. They may have had their faults but they oozed class which that invite definatley isn't.

I now wait for someone to say they liked it or they had similar etc.
BIB.... well now you mention it ........

In this episode, I still felt sorry for Jac somehow but I did feel sorry for Jonny more. He hasn't got any idea of how complex and deep and Jac and Joseph were so I feel its not his fault in this situation.

He didn't even know who Joseph was so he could have no idea of the depth of the connection between them. Mo was glad to fill in the gossipy bits though.

yes, I didn't get the analogy of Abelard and Heloise as well and how their story connected to Jac and Joseph. Mo does tend to be tackless in colleague's personal matters.

Yep, I realise that jav keeps things close but to have not mentioned anything about it. We know she's told Joseph about her history in foster care and her mother during their first relationship. Dad shagging or not, she opened up to him a lot more, even that early. Is that a sign that she knew he was 'the one' even that early and she still has doubts about Jonny or has joseph just left her so scarred she is even less trusting than before.

I'm amazed that Mo hasn't shared that bit of gossip, especially as she doesn't like Jac and seemed to want to save Jonny from her - or keep her toy to herself - delete as you think her true motives are.

Jonny needed to back off, let Jac deal with it without his input and then he might have been okay. Especially if he'd supported herre that girl's treatment. As it was, she clearly wanted no strings relief with someone who wouldn't make any demands of her which I can understand and sympathise with. But, still really crappy to Jonny and Sean's wife and sorry, but sleeping with 2 different men in the same day is skanky no matter what the circumstances. It's Jac though and she was clearly hurt so I'll forgive her, especially as I think karma will hit her quickly next week.

Oh and Elliot is getting on my wick. He can't give her any forewarning but he can discuss her personal business with her presumed plus one in front of junior members of staff.

Yes, I think Abelard and Heloise will have gone over most viewers heads - certainly did mine but maybe I'm just ignorant. It's about a monk and a nun getting down to it apparently but my mother who has a first class honours degree in Classics has promised fo fill me in when I see her on Saturday.

Can you fill us in when you get the info Kitkat, cheers !
Say thanks to your mother from us.

With Jonny needed to back off, I see where you are coming from. However, he is not aware of the whole Joseph situation, he doesn't understand it and I don't think he knows that Jac was in foster care either or the frcition she had with her mother, so I do feel alot of sympathy for him. And from next week's clip, he does seem contrite as so does Jac.

Okey doke, will do.
My Luc withdrawal symptoms are pretty awful at the moment, I am zoning out during AAU scenes which I shouldn't be as its my favourite ward.
Nevertheless, I am chin-ing up considering the circumstances and at least this thread kind of distracts me abit, which is a good thing.

I did love that Jonny went off to the nurse reunion thing on his own (and looked hot in the tux) after Jac knocked him back. By that I mean that I am glad he did not ask Mo, who was hanging about. Maybe he is finally growing a pair and putting Jac first.

"Who's the Daddy" storyline now seems inevitable. I would like Jac to be a mother though, so I don't think getting pregnant would be a major disaster for her.

@kitkat,

Jac (on screen anyway) shared so much more with Joseph than she has done with Jonny. I'm remembering the heartbreaking conversation she had with him in the staffroom about whether to give the kidney to her (bitch of a) mother. He was so lovely to her then and they had not gotten back together at that stage. She just alway really trusted Joseph - which makes the wedding invite out of the blue even more hurtful. The trust is not there with Jonny yet, whether it will ever come remains to be seen.

I am just going to put this out there because its been on my mind a bit (well, a lot!) but - is anyone else a bit scared that this might be a leaving storyline for Jac???

Are they pulling another Eddi or Luc on us??

I say it because it strikes me that this could all blow up spectacularly in Jac's face next week and lead to her chucking it all in and going. And it would be a horribly negative ending for her, which the writers would get their rocks off on.

There are no new spoilers, which is worrying me. That usually means they are trying to hide something and Rosie Marcel leaving would be huge! I know she has been through a lot in her personal life lately and that could be a deciding factor.

I'm hoping it's just my paranoia getting out of control!!

I hope it's your paranoia getting out of control too! It did seem odd that they kept 29th spoilers under wraps longer than usual but they don't seem too bad - she's just not mentioned.

Worryingly this is the sort of time it would come up as she started (as a regular) in January and I know she started a new contract 2 years ago at the same time Roberts etc left but I don't know how long it was for.

The thing that makes me hope that she'll stay for a while is that her personal life does seem to be settling down and she has expressed a desire for children. A gig like HC, close to her home, is about as good a safe, secure, friendly hour job with maternity leaves you'll get in acting. I'm sure it's why Hobley has stayed as long as she has whilst enlarging her family.

What I loved about Jac telling Joseph her history is that we never saw it on screen,, it was just referenced afterwards, in the scene Collins mentioned and during their argument on the day of Charle' funeral. Also, her recognising Harry when he was brought in the Hospital and knowing the full story of his coma. It added so much depth to their relationship after the fact as most of what we saw on screen was them at work and Jac being a bit of a cow but they did date seriously for 6 months and obviously had opened up to each other and shared things no-one else knew.

Jonny looked soooo good in his Tuxedo. It's the first time we've seen him in anything smart - he's usually in jeans and checked shirt or scrubs isn't he. One thing that does always amaze me in HC. Why do they only ever ask people to go to dos on the day? Was jac supposed to just have a ball gown in her locker?!?!? Now, I've been known (often) to go for drinks at the pub last minute after work. Maybe even a casual meal. But a ball?

Just back from Sweden? Maybe back earlier than expected . . . .or maybe not

Anyway, I'm sure every well prepared young lady has a ball gown in their work locker..... just in case

I do like jac and Jonny's romance but I still can't find much chemistry or charisma between them,... I am trying.
Whereas Jac and Sean seemed to know each other's weaknesses abit more and I found there was abit more chemistry between them.

That did occur to me, it was implied that it was the first time he'd seen her since Sweden. Still, these things are planned months in advance, he couldn't have mentioned it when they reconciled - whenever that was - Xmas I presume.

Ball gown in locker. It'd get a bit creased wouldn't it?

Traitor

I actually think that Rosie is one of that rare breed that has chemistry with most actors but I prefer her with Jonny to Sean. Maybe it's just me but the lust rolls off them in waves.

I think Sean is more like a Sacha type to her - they get on as friends with a slight frisson but not much (at least on her side) whereas she does genuinely seem to fancy the pants off Jonny, if nothing else. It seemed clear to me that her asking Sean home was more to do with mutual comfort than really wanting him She just needed to forget her troubles with someone not that involved with her for a while and Sean was there and she knows he fancies her. Look at the body language in the car, both wrapped up in their own misery. Most lust powered one night stands would have been all over each other.

Aww Kate,
Sorry ! But I still like Jonny and Jac to be together and I really do want it to work with them. I am not sure if its lust or genuine love with Jonny yet, they probably need time and more angst ridden scenes with Jac telling her tragic past to Jonny to satisfy me as a viewer. Hope you get what I mean here.

The problem I have is that Joseph's ghost looms large in my mind and I got to shake that off for Jac to have a chance with any man generally. You get what I mean here.

I will have to re-watch the episode again.

Without getting into too much if you compare Jac tearing the clothes off Joseph with her tearing the clothes off Jonny, its very different. With Joseph it was a case of "get those clothes off I want you NOW" - very intense. With Jonny there is a lot of giggling and even chatting going on. With Joseph there was a lot of intense eye contact and vulnerability. With Jonny she looks annoyed at him most of the time and she is very much in charge.

With Sean I think it is a meeting of the minds. There is a connection between them that I don't think there is with Jonny. I like Jonny and I do think he is good for her in that he brings lightness and fun into her life but I am far from convinced that he is the man for her.

@Collins,

You kind a summed it for me with difference of Joseph, Jonny and Sean. She also doesn't give Jonny the kind of respect he deserves when he is looking out for her. However, Jonny has definitely brought the softer side of Jac and got her to loosen up a little which is a plus point. However, that scene in Albies with the puppet sock, Sean also got her to laugh too. Maybe Sean is on the same intellectual level as Jac, this does not mean I think Jonny is inferior intellectually, he just has different qualities and a different outlook to life.
I also agree, I am not convinced....yet that Jonny is the man for Jac to spend a lifetime with. It could change with the plotlines later on. I am quite conflicted because I like Jonny's personality and he has kind of grown on me.
