You could well be right - another one of those things that we'll (probably) never know like what Jac's answer in the toilet was and what ever happened to her dad!!

I don't think Mo heard the antichrist jibe and her "Rosemary's Baby" crack was just her being funny. It WAS funny, but as Wiggles has said, I too would be concerned that subconsciously Jac could be taking it all in and even though she seemed fine on the surface, it could be reinforcing her belief that she is bad mother material.

Must be the psychologist in you, Wiggles, and the psychotherapist in me!

Her having overheard (therefore knowing there was fault on both sides) might explain why she was much nicer about the breakup this time round - we haven't had any scenes of her telling Jonny he is best off out of it. move on (even before the pregnancy) or being a cow to Jac for hurting her best friend unlike when they separated in November and again in January.

The scan and indeed Mo being involved in the pregnancy is a difficult one. I have had friends (one in particular was very honest about it and I just appreciated her sensitivity and courage in being so) that have tried to keep any excited chatter about their pregnancies and baby's first steps etc away from me because they know that my Husband and I were trying for a baby and failing to go full term. But, in my experience, whilst you are a little envious and longing, it actually hurts more to be excluded and shut out of your friend's lives, even though they mean well.

This is true. Then again she could also try not to say anything because she might think that no matter she might say, those two will eventually gravitate towards each other like magnets. Mo has been actually quite nice about the pregnancy so far, at least to Jac's face, which was shown to a certain degree her "she's going through a tricky time right now" comment to Jonny as well as her "defending" of Jac just before Jonny found out about the pregnancy.

You see the thing is, I've never thought that Mo and Jac have any fundamental feelings of dislike between them. They actually have quite similar senses of humour and don't take offence at any barbed comments - it is banter. Any issues have sprung up directly from disagreements about work and perhaps encroaching on each other's areas and who gets to play with Jonny the most. It is not the same as Jac and Sahira who I don't think would ever truly have got on under any circumstances, no matter how they met.

The only time I'd say my opinion on this wasn't correct was late last year when Mo did seem to really have a problem with Jac and be getting at her needlessly (telling everyone about the pregnancy scare as one example) but as I've previously said, I think that was unresolved issues about the Surrogacy just making her generally harder and underlying resentment that Jonny wasn't there to support her as much as she needed and he would have been if he wasn't following Jac round like a kicked puppy.

That's a good point, because I do have a memory of Mo and Jac seemingly having a random chat at the nurses station in a we-do-actually-get-along kind of way last year.

I can though see that Jac's pregnancy might become more of an issue for her as soon as Jac actually begins to show properly that she is pregnant, simply because of William. But otherwise I am not entirely surprised by the sympathy simply because Mo knows what it feels like to be pregnant.

Yep, that sounds perfectly possible - I can't imagine Jac (even at this stage) getting overly excited, and I'd guess that'd have something to do with her fears that something might still go wrong and her not allowing herself to get too attached in case it does!!

Brilliant final scene - glad they didn't forget their friendship/mentorship/romance completely. Still bugs me that they give the impression that Elliot has been Ollie's support long term though when they had little to do with each other until Tara's arrival and Jac, Hansenn and even Malick are actually the people that have worked with him, given him chances, saved his bacon and made him the half decent Doctor he became - at least until this dishonest return to form.

That is true, she herself has never said it aloud before. So far we've had Mo's word for it and the world's fastest ultrasound scan by Jonny to confirm that she is pregnant.

Loved Jac and Ollie's goodbye scene! Nice to see the affection between them again.

I don't think that I'd have minded Harry on Darwin as it would have got him away from Gemma (for at least some of his scenes) and might have been interesting to see how that kind of posh boy arrogance was dealt with by Elliot, Jac and even Mo and Jonny - none of whom come across as having everything in life come to them easily - including money.

Somehow I feel that if Harry stays away from Darwin, it only means that he won't be polluting Darwin with himself.

The only reason I'd like Harry on Darwin is, as kitkat said, to keep the Harry/Gemma scenes to a minimum!

But that in itself is not a good enough reason - keep Darwin a Harry free zone!!!

Agree with Kitkat and Collins, I would not have minded to have Harry on Darwin so we could be put out of our misery of watching the Harry and Gemma pahlava. Also, I am sure Harry's snootiness will have been in check with the rest of the Darwin gang.

Will we be getting some new characters gracing Darwin, as the staff are looking awfully thin, considering their high workload.

ETA: loved the Jac and Ollie scenes, Jac was looking almost like a cherub, she was glowing in that scene.

She was very Rosie (geddit) cheeked in that scene wasn't she - I noticed as well. She does colour up beautifully - I always remember the way she blushed when Joseph kissed her as Faye was taken in for her C Section.

That was an amazing kiss - I am blushing right now at the thoughts of it - or is it a hot flash

It was lovely to see her smiling about it too (although did find myself somewhat distracted by the length of her trousers!)


I can't seem them having anyone new on Darwin in the near future - we haven't had any recent announcements of people joining the cast (apart from Serena's ex) and they do normally let people know don't they?? I suppose we might just see more randoms wandering around the ward wearing stethoscopes who don't speak but are mentioned in passing every now and again.

I did as well! I was reminded of a friend (male of course) asking me if I'd mugged a midget when I wore a pair of 3/4 length trousers out once.

I don't know - historically ever since Darwin expanded when Connie got additional funding in season 8, there have always been 4 Doctors and 1 prominent Nurse (Elliot, Connie, Joseph and Sam, then Jac replaced Sam for a while, then Greg, then Sahira over from Joseph and Jac again for Connie plus Oliver, then Mo for Sahira and effectively Oliver for Greg and Tara for Oli) so actually they are going from 5 to 3. On the plus side though, it might mean that they concentrate on the people they have got there - Elliot has only really used as a buffer for the Tara and Oli romance and Mo hasn't really been used at all and maybe that will change.

I'd imagined it was something to do with the way she was sitting (or maybe the transfer from lying to sitting) causing her trousers to get hitched up somehow.


kitkat, that's a good point, about the Darwin focus now being on the remaining staff rather than being diluted out - would definitely be good to see more of Mo and Elliott, and obviously I think you can never have too much Jac!!!
Although surely there'd have been more than 2 applicants for the CT2 position - for goodness sake Darwin is (presumably) a centre of excellence with Elliott and his Hertzig, Jac and her Japanese food pipe jig, Mo and her transplant malarkey, and their all-round general brilliance - you'd have thought there'd be people queuing round the block to get in there (even if it was only open to internal applicants.)

You would think so, I remember Sam saying in his first episode that CT Reg posts were rarer than the Dodo and you'd imagine that CT2 posts would be the same, especially as it is about the last grade you can easily swap around in before specialising. This is what I said about it on another site.

Harry really is h34r: isn't he. Surely it is against the rules to just come out and ask about a patient's religious beliefs like that - even if it is obvious from the name. What's it got to do with his medical treatment anyway? If he was Jehovahs then it could be relevant but I'm sure the Patient would bring that up once transfusions were mentioned. His sending that email to Ollie was designed purely to unnerve him on the day of the Presentation, nothing to do with outrage on Gemma's behalf. Then, he gives up a CT position, something he claims he wanted very much and apparently moved hospital on the promise off, in a fit of pique because he'd get it by 'default' and wants to stay as a parasite with Gemma. Well, what a stupid way to decide your speciality for the rest of your career. I'd imagine that CT2 positions in a 'premier' field like CT don't come up very often, you're hardly likely to get a Registrars position if you don't have the relevant junior experience and you can't progress up the ladder to Consultant (which I imagine someone like Harry would want) without spending 7 years as a Reg. So, he's probably just thrown away any chance of making CT his field for the next 40 years - smart move, Little Lord Snooty I'm really feeling no vibe from Harry and Gemma - I suspect that they are taking over the mantle filled by Sahira and Greg and then Ollie and Tara - no spark and okay characters when on their own but absolutely unbearable when on screen as a couple and unfortunately TPTB, want to constantly shove them down our throats.
