Any others? The Humax 1000 is really ugly and I hate it.
I've read some other reviews about using one feed and a short piece of cable with an F connector at each end looping from the output socket and back into the box - and some of these say that it doesn't always work that great.
My dish has 3 feeds when someone had Sky+ in my flat but they have long since chopped and buried all but one wire.
Anyone know if it really works or it's best to simply get a new line put in?”
The humax boxes have software that recognises the limitations of feeding two tuners from a single lnb. As a result they will only let you make recording choices that are possible. afaik they are the only ones that do so. In addition they have tuners that can record two channels at the same time if they share a transponder, the two combine to give you some 3rd viewing choices while recording two.
IF you set up pvr in this way without this capability you will have to figure out for yourself just what recording combinations are possible.
