I think a few things have been 'improved' over the past few years noteably Heinz Tomato Ketchup.

I used to love it but now it just does not taste the same.

Big Macs - Theywer delicious when they first came out now I can barely eat one.

Although Heinz salad cream has always been the same and consistantly good.

Is it me getting old or have you noticed things changing?

They move their production to foreign countries and then they don't taste nice any more and people stop buying.

I have learnt to be cautious of anything that has the "improved recipe" mark on the product - because often the "improvement" is to remove the tastiness - via removal of seasoning. It is a shame but it seems to be happening more and more and is likely I won't like any of these foodstuffs eventually.

That's an interesting point. I do think our palates change as we grow older. I find Heinz ketchup a bit too sweet these days - not sure whether that's because there's more sugar in it or because I don't have much of a sweet tooth now.

I had a chicken and mushroom Pot Noodle recently (I just fancied one, ok!) and compared to when I had one last probably 15 years ago it tasted so bland. Must be because they took all the salt and crap out of them a few years ago.

Yes, the new view of healthy options seems to have removed salt, msg and flavour from a lot of meals
MSG isn't so bad if you don't over do it. Same with salt and fat.

I raid the store cupboard for ready meals.
Noodle pots regularly have a dash of ketchup, soy, chilli sauce etc, added into them.
