Lol. Will be going to EE4G if they are reintroduced Devon.
I am actually a sole trader but the CS guy just took me at my word and asked me for a business name. Did it without any paperwork proof! makes it dead easy to get a signal box as well. Just ordered my second one. No questions asked! |

Lets wait to the 16th and see it it happens as we don't have any corroboration from tmobile as of yet.

I doubt they'd confirm this if it's something that the full monty plan was meant to have all along. If their terms state there's a cap, and it's removed, they still have the right to re implement the cap at any time. On the other hand, if the terms didn't state there's a cap, there would be trouble.

But that's the point. There's no mention of a speed cap when you sign up or in the terms.
For my part I'm not too fussed about all this - I'm on the One Plan on Three and, with all this carry on with the Full Monty and speed caps, as a data user I'm so not budging. I do have one question though, which appears to have gone unanswered so far; will this 'new' cap apply to Orange's iPhone Extra 51 tariff and Virgin Mobile's new unlimited (well, 10GB before the throttle kicks in) data tariffs? Or is it only T-Mobile's unlimited data tariffs that have the pleasure? |

No, it's only T-Mobile FM plans. Orange/EE4G unaffected.

I would guess the best way of getting them to admit it would be to try and get one of the tech sites to cover it. I've been running regular speed tests at home and getting speeds between 7 and 15Mb, so it will be very obvious if an artificial speed cap is brought in. If it happens, I will write to T-Mobile and ask them directly about a speed cap, and see what they say.

Right, another update. It's possible it won't happen till Friday.
But info suggests from 19:00 today. Bit vague I know. |

Well I just meant as far as EEs three brands are concerned, Only T-Mobile FM plans are affected. Anyone on Orange or EE4G will not be affected. MVNOs like Virgin do their own thing anyway and decide how they are going to cap/restrict seperately.
Yes speed capping LTE would be amazingly dumb since its main selling point is speed ![]() At the end of the day it works like this.... T-Mobile - Budget 3G brand Orange - Premium 3G brand EE4G - Flagship 3G/LTE brand T-Mobile being the budget brand is bound to have some restictions somewhere. If you were Paying Orange £51 per month for Unlimited calls, texts, data and tethering, you'd be pretty p****d if they suddenly capped your speed.

Which would be fine if they allowed you to make an informed choice. But with no mention of speed restrictions when you sign up, and an absolute denial that it exists from customer service, they're not honest about it.

How can tmobile be a budget brand when their data speeds (and coverage alone on 3G) is better (even with caps) than orange?
![]() That's from an official article I read when EE4G launched. That's the way EE are marketing the brands. it's been mentioned several times on here. Anyway Orange will be as good as the other two once the integration is completed. |

I think my speeds are being capped..
Speeds are refusing to go above 4/1mb.. I recently upgraded to FM coming from 3 because I was getting speeds above 15mb+ most of the time.. No speed cap was mentioned at that time... Is T-Mobile in breach of their agreement now? |

Really not happy about this at all. I don't know how they can do it and not even acknowledge it. |
