I saw someone unlock a Samsung GS3 without entering the unlock pattern, does anyone know how this is done?

Bypassing it is easy if you have root access to the phone

How did you see it done?

I'm not sure if i should tell you this but there is a cheat to unlock that.

You have to press Up,Down,Up,Down,Square,Square,Circle,Circle,R2,L2,Up,Down,Up,Down

Then you'll unlock it.

They might have been using a Face Recognition app.

He didnt use the face recognition, the phone in mine and its my pattern lock. He opened it without using the pattern.

Ahh, I think I understand now, what you are saying is he by-passed your security pattern.

Still don’t know how it’s done though.

He's probably just found it somewhere on the internet...

Did he actually do nothing? Or did he touch the screen and do a unlock pattern?
Or did he press one of the buttons at the bottom of the phone?

You must have seen him do at least something?

He turned around and gave be it back unlocked

i'm going to go with he knows your unlock pattern.

There really is no other way he could do it that quickly. He must have seen you do it once, or used the smudges on the screen as a guide.

Change your pattern and ask him to do it again

Picture of the lock screen would fool most people I think.

Change your pattern and then wipe your screen clean before asking him to do it again

He probably knows the pin you set up when you set the pattern lock.

pattern lock? mine just uses a pin.
