Unblock Us and Netflix Query

Hi All

I'm just coming to the end of my week's trial with Unblock Us and have had a couple of issues with Netflix. I really like the content that's made available so I'd like to resolve these and pay the subscription for a year. I'm using Apple TV to access Netflix as I have a BT router and the DNS settings are locked.

Firstly, when I watch a programme or film it's fine but then I try to access something else and I get the message that Netlfix is unavailable. I come out of the App, go back in and same thing. I change the region on the Unblock Us website and it seems to re-set things and I'm good to go again. However, I don't want to have to do this everytime!

Secondly and rather strangely, some content seems to disappear and re-appear. The kids watch a daft tv show called 'Diego' and episodes seem to disappear from the season list. However, again when I reset the webpage they reappear.

Any help, particularly with issue 1 would be much appreciated.

Are the DNS settings on the router or your apple tv ? It sounds like it is switching region for some reason, hence the unvaliable thing.

When you try and watch another film , is this directly after or after shutting it down ? I used to have a apple tv and could be a little buggy with these dns changers ?

Are you changing regions while your already logged into Netflix?

It might be worth checking on the Unblock Us site. There was an issue with the Windows 8 Netflix app, for example, that they fixed very quickly, but which caused it to have similar problems to the one your describing.

Thanks for the quick replies. I think it was an issue with not having a computer on my network set up with the correct DNS settings. It seems to be working quite smoothly now so no doubt I'll be parting with my money for the annual subscription
