Pickled vegetables
WinterFire

I've just seen a big jar of pickled vegetables in a shop. Cauliflower, Broccoli, Carrots, things like that.

Has anyone ever eaten any of that, and what was it like? What's the calorific content like?

Were they polish?
I've seen them in the supermarkets.

Can't see why it would be calorific. It's mostly water with salt, sugar, vinegar and some spice.

I don't think they were Polish, as the Polish pickles were elsewhere in the shop. This shop had a large amount of Middle Eastern, Turkish, Greek, and probably elsewhere pickles. More than I've every seen in one place before.

I quite like pickles, and need to lose some weight. I've been snacking on gherkins a lot, but am interesting in expanding my pickled horizons a bit.
