Ah. Thanks
I have the DVD of IAMMMMW and I was very happy to see that it has the full intermission. Since the film was edited specifically to have an intermission at that point, I never fast forward through it ![]() Its a great copy. |

There's quite a few on the banned list according to wikkipedia, which you probably wouldn't see much of on telly
Are they showing Child's Play these days? |

All the child plays have been on itv4 but not on the main five channels for a long time.
The Crow with brandon lee was on a few times on channel 4 in the 90s but never on again. My own private idaho (1993) with River Phoenix has not been on since the mid 90s. in fact river phoenix films rarely get aired on the main five channels apart from sneakers, indiana jones and little nikita. |

That's because they are still linked to the Jamie Bulger murder.

Thelma and Louise. A famous, iconic film and most of Ridley Scott's other films have been shown many times.

2 and 3 show up on ITV4 quite a bit. Haven't seen the first in a while but BBC used to show it back in the day.

Black Christmas (1974 version) is on dvd but only seen it once on tv
The Squeeze - film starring Stacy Keach and David Hemmings. I have seen it on tv one sat night back in the eighties and never been released on region 2. Strangely though a region 1 is available Unman Wittering and Zygo - great british thriller again with Hemmings that I am still waiting to see officially released. |

Anyone remember Scarecrows from 1988. That rarely gets shown.
Also The Strange And Deadly Occurrence from 1974. |

That reminds me, they often seem to show the Death Wish sequels but never the original.

I remember seeing it on BBC 2 several years ago. They've also shown Felicia's Journey and Where the Truth lies.

Ahhh, just thinking - when was the last time that "Half Moon Street" was shown on UK TV? It stars Signourney Weaver and Michael Caine, made in 1986 - so Weaver had just hit the big time with "Aliens" out that year. Not a great film, but I was just wondering when it was last shown. I know the BBC had the rights to it. I think it was last shown sometime in the 1990s on BBC 1.

It was due to be released just after the James Bulger case and because of the nature film (killer child) it got banned in the UK. |

Spacehunter - Adventures In The Forbidden Zone - This Peter Strauss lead sci fi curio was around 1983 and was like a poor mans Mad Max(that's sayin' something!) and is only currently available on US import.
Battle Beyond The Stars - a gr8 sci fi film from the boom period (late 70's-early 80's) with John Boy Walton flying around in a space ship that has huge breasts. Only available on German import dvd & i've not seen it on tv for years (i may have missed it?). Sparkler - never seen it on dvd over in the UK & never had a terrestrial showing (to my knowledge). Tender Is The Night - brilliant BBC series (i know, not film ) adaptation of the F Scott Fitzgerald book - had Peter Strauss, Mary Steenbergen & Sean Young. Never seen it since 1986 - it was a big sumptous production as well...BBC dvd pls! I was gonna add Ice Pirates, but they've finally released it! |
