Good pick.

Does My Beautiful Laundrette ever show up?
Yep, it gets shown on Film 4 every now and again. I think that it was on a couple of weeks ago.

When was the last time Melody was shown? Basically think of a school love story with elements of If involved( the school gets destroyed in a riot) and featuring Mark Lester and Jack Wilde.
Latin is a crappy, outdated language.
Julius Caesar would be very disappointed with you, boy.

Oh wow, I remember Melody - my older sister was a huge Jack Wild fan. I also remember a film he did called Flight of the Doves.

I can remember when BBC2 used to show old films regularly, but these days films from before the 80s don't seem to get shown on terrestrial TV - unless they are classics, like Battle of Britain which got shown today on one of the channels. It's a real shame.

Good pick. Another at around the same time was Clean, Shaven, which I'd love to see again on the box.

Film 4 have shown a load of them, only a couple of years ago. Seventh Seal, Wild Strawberries, Persona and Cries and Whispers got shown(a few more as well).

Sawdust and Tinsel got shown on BBC 4 when Ingmar Bergman was still alive and the BBC got to interview him. I think that might have been 2006?

Ive not really noticed Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead on much, if at all.

I would of thought that would something that has appeal and might suit channel 5 or ITV2 weekend schedule. Its on YT, (at least it was a little while ago) but it would be nice to watch it on telle.
absolutely love that film had it on vhs when i was like 12, not seen it on any tv channel for years but the other week found it on some obscure free movie streaming app on my smart tv

Soul Man, and it's rubbish. At turns offensive, then overly preachy.

Freebie and the Bean, a 70's cop movie starring James Caan and Alan Arkin which seems to have vanished without a trace.
Good call. Dir. Richard Rush also made The Stuntman, another good film that ought to be shown more.

Can't remember Something Wicked This Way Comes ever being shown too.

I think I saw that in the old 'Moviedrome' slot on BBC2. I wish they'd bring that back.
