Tiger Woods PGA Tour
I fancy getting back into a Tiger Woods game.
The last one I have played since I see no need to buy this every year was 2010. Which one would you suggest I buy? I noticed the 2012 had masters over the front cover which is good that it's in the game, but I don't want it to be the only thing. 2013 also features it by the looks of it?? It's not just about the career though, I remember another Tiger Woods game that had a few mini games, and this hexagon grid of small challenges if you didn't want a long gaming session. So I'm looking for a decent career mode with plenty of other side options and mini games if there is one out there? |

I have both 12 and 13 but only really play online so I can't help you that much but I can say that the career on 12 is all about the Road to the Masters and that is your goal, I haven't played career on 13 much but I believe it is a normal career mode just like previous versions
which console would it be on? I have it on PS3 and 13 still has Augusta National golf course on it. as for mini game I'm not sure, I don't think so but I will take a look next time I'm on for you

Actually wish I still had a TW game. I get what you say about not buying each year.
Only thing I dont like about TW online, is that I hate the things like bunny suits, spaceman suits etc. I love the game feels real, other than that nonsense. |

It's on the 360 to answer that question.
As for online, I've never actually touched it. Maybe that will open more doors for me. I remember trying a demo for a newer one but don't remember which one, the putting system was completely different to 2010 and a bit more difficult. I guess I'll check out some more reviews see if I can decide this time. |

By the way, how does everyone hold the joypad when playing this? I once had a few friends round for an xbox night. We stuck Tiger Woods 10 on and a couple of people were laughing at me.. They hold it in both hands like any other game. I put the joypad next to me on the sofa and grab the LS with my whole hand. I then get accused of cheating because I get an almost perfect straight shot

I hold it the same as I do on any other game!
maybe I should try your way though as I sometimes hit a few shots offline! ![]() out of interest, what score would you aim for (based on your abilities) if say playing a round on easiest difficulty with Tiger Woods (or your player if he is better), just wondering how well you would do online I just played a 4 round tournament and finished around 200th out of 650+, I normally aim for top 100 but had a bad first round due to first time I'd been on the game for ages I won't tell you what score I got and what the winning score was as I don't want to give you any ideas when telling me your average score

It's been so long since I played I wouldn't know. If records are saved I could put the disk in next time I'm on xbox and take a look.
I'd go online for the laugh but it's been too long since I played and I doubt there's many active 2010 players now. |

I've just put the game in while I wait for my MW3 maps to download.
I loaded up my player resume, it's my second profile so isn't my true average but there's enough to get an idea, Scoring Average is 69.50 with a best round of 62. That's with my own golfer. 6 Eagles 100 Birdies 126 Pars |

oh right, that isn't bad considering its only your profile golfer, if you played as Tiger on amateur online I think u'd do ok
anyway, I finished 266th out of 660 last week with a 4 round score of -72! the winning score was -109 (an average of about -27 per round!) for me that score is impossible but keep practicing and you never know! I played an online one round tournament just now on the hardest difficulty with Ian Poulter and scored +29! (2 horrific holes of +9 & +8 so without them its 'only' +12) it was extremely difficult, my putting average was 1.8 per hole though which I was pretty pleased about, the wind was so fast and normally towards me that I found it impossible to get GIR on most holes the lead was somehow -12

Yeah but I wonder if I held the joypad normally would my average be what it is lol.
I often think how on any game the people have the scores they have at the top of leaderboard! I might give online a go if servers are still active, if not I'll decide which of the newer ones to get. |

maybe you should just wait until 14 comes out? 13 came out in March/April last year so it should only be a few months ![]() EDIT: game out on 28 March Quote:
