To any Three Mobile SIM only customers out there...

Has anyone managed to have roaming enabled earlier than the 60 days from start of contract period as noted on the website?

I spoke to Three's telesales and they said it wouldnt be a problem but the last thing I need is to take out a 12 month contract and find that a few weeks in, it doesnt work for a long weekend in europe.

I'm on 30 day rolling and got it enabled about 2 months after starting. I wasn't even aware there was a time limit. I didn't even realise I hadn't done it, so I had to call up when I was there. If you're going to add it, make sure you call before you leave the UK.

I don't know whether it's anything to do with your credit rating and whether you actually pay but mine is very good. Could I get them to budge and enable roaming earlier than the 60 days though? No! I even offered to pay a deposit which they refused. I wouldn't believe what the telesales say though unless they put it in writing.

Does the £5 Euro unlimited internet pass work on SIM only's or it it just the standard 24 month contracts?

Yes it works on sim only. I used it last week in Paris

Was it a 30 Day or 12 Month SIM Only? Will it work on the £12.90 deal?

It should work on any pay monthly phone plan.

I managed to get it enabled earlier.

They said that as an existing customer with another account (I have payments going back to 2005), they enabled it based on that.
