Desktop iPlayer

I am trying to install iPlayer for Desktop. When I click on Download, I am told I need to download Adobe Air but if I press Download for that, it says there is an error and to try again.
Getting nowhere!

Do you use Google Chrome as your internet browser? If so it doesn't work on Chrome so you need to use another internet browser.

My iPlayer desktop worked fine for ages on my 64bit OS (Windows 7) and I downloaded it through firefox........

until the new update version from adobe...........which ruined my library of programmes and i had to delete them

Tried everything, clearing/deleting the repository, fresh install, air update, flash update - thought things were ok when I downloaded a few series......

but now they won't resume, or play, and I can't seem to download anything new (enough space on harddrive, and plenty left in preferences)

Any ideas???

I have had a few problems myself. The BBC were aware of problems of disappearing downloads due to Adobe Air update but they now reckon it has been resolved. Try deleting iplayer desktop, Adobe Air and all the iplayer files from your computer and start over again. It worked for me for a few weeks but sadly I got the same problem after that so I have just given up.
