I don't think either of the two finalists would have got as far as they did in a UK based competition.

What about Jasmine Trias? She'd be perfect for sympathy votes wouldn't she?

imo if fantasia had been in the final here it would have been the uk enjoying a great singer/performer not the darned americans.
to compare steve et ** to her is a joke.

I think Fantasia would definitely have made it to the latter stages of our competition......to me she oozes X Factor and her voice is unique. But John Stevens (anyone remember.....the red-haired lad who sang out of tune) sadly wouldn`t have made it through the audition stages.

I was rooting for Latoya London all the way and really thought she would make it to final. I think we all knew Fantasia would win which is another reason i loved XF this year. We really were kept guessing right until the end

![]() I don't agree with Me4ro about the finlaists being utter tripe - some of them weren't very good, but a couple were amazing. |

I'm just in the latter stages of serious SHOCK!!!!
I actually agree wholeheartly nay UNRESERVEDLY with PC no REALLY I agree 100%(wow...who saw that coming,eh?) Fantasia would have blown the socks off of anyone in the final 9 except the fragrant Rowetta, that would have been a REAL final there. Two Divas battling it out singing their hearts out, with BOTH of them having masses of X Factor and THEN SOME!!! Not wishing to stir up any hornets nests here, but compare the stage craft of FB with say 2 to Go,mmmmmm you're getting what I'm saying here aren't you? IMO the similarities between FB and Rowetta are quite compelling, both had their struggles with single parenthood, both have been singing since they were knee high, and both aren't afraid to say what is on their minds. Not only that but neither girl knows what the word STAGEFRIGHT means, yes, they are both IMO strong independent women. and both incredibly talented.I'd just like to make a purely personal point on some of the final 6 or 7 in the last A.I. ...... Now,wasn't it Carmen Vallescu who kept having the Rosie Ribbons Winner Takes it all moments. (FLAT as the Bonneville Salt Flats) Jasmine Trias wasn't much better IMO....and who could EVER forget Dean Martin Stevens the 16 yr old SIXTY year old,(shudders)oh and don't EVEN get me started on the Pageant Queen C'mon Y'all, the 4 I've just mentioned YES they would have struggled, but FB? No way Jose,IMO she'd have walked it!...... Word that best sums up FB?....CLASS. PIV Last edited by Popidolveteran : 29-12-2004 at 15:46. Reason: Typo |

What a joy...the thought of the lovely Ro and Fan together - I bet those two would get on like a house on fire! Fantasia is amazing...I have NEVER heard anyone do anything more moving than her 'Summertime'. There are singers I like better, but the whole package was unbeatable. Fantasia is a cut above. Simple.

I detested Fantasia's voice.I always thought she'd had a gulp of helium.
Please do not put that name near our very own superstar's name.........Rowetta.

I love Fantasia! She wipes the floor with the uk talent! I'm in a total agreement with PIV! From the last American Idol (3) Fantasia Barrino, La Toya London, Jennifer Hudson and George Huff could have all done well on the UK talent shows!
Thanks, Steg1988 xxxx |
