'They' have actually got her using a voice that she's not used for the past 30 odd years ... just watch any of her episodes between 1974 and 1979 and you'll see a Gail that is very similar to the one we've had over the past few years.

Love her or hate her, Helen Worth is one of the most consistent actresses on the show.

Again, a quick fastforward to the late 70s and Gail was in the exact same position when she was the target of Ivy's constant meddling.

Gail is actually far worse with her own children than Ivy ever was with her, yet Gail can't see this at all. Gail has morphed into Ivy, which is some of the best character development in the history of any soap in my view.

What I really want is for someone to tell Gail just how bad she is and that she is just like Ivy was. Audrey is obviously the most likely one to do this as she was there through the thick of her troubles, but it would be quite interesting for a completely different character like Sally to tell Gail that she's just like Ivy. Shame Vera's not around as she would've been perfect!

Good observation become the thing she hated the most her mother in law.

One of my fav Gail moments was when she got caught in the blinds of the Salon, think it was 2010 but can't be sure. I laughed so hard at that.
