"Acid rain" serves as the launch single for Alexis Jordan's sophomore effort.

Thoughts? Will she be better than her Roc sister Rita?

Alexis Jordan is already way better than Rita.
I like this song, some parts of it more than others, but it is great to see Alexis back. The rapper's parts should have been cut out as it disrupts the flow of the song. It isn't as good as Happiness and Good Girl but I am excited to hear the second album

Exactly how I feel. I reckon this song could do pretty well considering it samples Bingo Players - Rattle, which I always hear in clubs!

I really like Alexis but she needs to be careful she doesn't get lost with the sound because she isn't really stepping out and making a niche for herself. She's got a damn good voice, she needs to put it out there more.

Comeback? She's only 21 I think.

i`m sure you know what the OP meant when launching a new album no matter how long the act is away is always considered as a "comeback"
It always makes me laugh like when Rihanna`s new albums are advertised on tv and the voice over person is like Rihanna is back LOL

No, I class a comeback as somebody who has confirmed a hiatus or whatever and then returned to be a comeback

In this case I just class it as her next album.

I love this. I wasn't too fused over her a few years ago, she was a bit bland imo but this tune is really good. However I don't like how many different parts of the song there are. Sure fire hit.

considering she hasn`t released anything for how long this can indeed be classed as a "comeback" in a sense

Oooooooooooh this is good! I like the rap at the start but he isn't really needed anywhere else. I can still see this being everywhere.

This song just shows why I want J. Cole to do a song with Rihanna so bad. He's just amazing and so versatile.

I really like this song, I hope it does well.

This is a quite good song but tbh it's as generic as anything off HOH (Alexandra Burke) ...

people SLATED that album for being generic, yet this song sounds like 'Fire' with a rap added on the first verse and in the middle lmao the wonders of a rap, eh....

I wonder will she have trouble to get a hit with this as Far East Movement have also sampled "Rattle" in their lastest song!?

They pretty much beat her 2 it!????

For the record I love Alexis and I "Like" this song

I couldn't think of what it reminded me of, but now that you say HOH's Fire it has clicked! Thanks!

It's fine. The bridge and the chorus are good. Verses are a bit mundane and forgetable. The rap sections are making this song good I think.

Thanks to OP for posting or I probably wouldn't have known about it!

I think this was a demo for Bingo Players, before they decided to go with vocals from Far East Movement. It's better than the one in the charts right now imo.

Her and Jessie J's album came out on the same day in the UK, February 28, 2011. You wouldn't call Jessie J's new album this year a comeback, would you?

She posted a new version of it without J. Cole.

This song is just insane! So good!! I think it'll be pretty big in the clubs in UK. I would love her to snatch a UK #1

I think this version makes it sound more 'together'
