My daughter bought this for me for Christmas as I only use it for basic functions and don't need anything fancy, it's on the Tesco pay as you go. Everything appears to work ok the only thing I can't get working is that it doesn't send delivery reports for sms, I can receive messages and send them although I don't know that they've been delivered which is a bit annoying. I've got the delivery report function on, but my sent messages still have pending on them when I go into the sent messages menu, although I know they have been delivered because I sent one to my old phone. Does anyone know if this is due to the phone or the network or is it something I have done, any help please

Tesco mobile is carried by o2 who dont support reports so that may be the reason. It is annoying and seems like quite a simple thing to do...

You can get delivery reports on O2, but using the facility is even more annoying than not getting them.

Eveytime you want a delivery report you have to put *0# in front of the text message you are sending

e.g. *0#Hello, how are you?

The person you are sending the text to won't see the *0# bit

Thanks very much for that, I thought I was going mad, glad to hear that I'm not I had tried every way and was getting nowhere. It's annoying because you don't know if the person has received the message or not but there we go. Thanks once again for all your help

I know my daughter reckons her friend is on O2 and she gets delivery reports, I don't know if it's because I'm on the Tesco version of it

No, it's the whole O2 network that doesn't support standard delivery reports (I believe they are called 'level 2 delivery reports' or something like that - I could be wrong), not just Tesco. If some people are getting them I don't know why, they shouldn't be.

Thanks for that I have e-mailed Tesco but have not had a reply, nothing new there then! It's weird how some people get them and some don't, it's just a pain as you don't know if the message has been delivered or not, oh well not to worry Cheers
