I have read that that both actors are good friends and the resemblance is kind of staggering. It's totally gossip of course, but when it was pointed out to me it during the Golden Globes it was kind of hard to forget.

That rumour is coming from the mother of her dead friend. Even if that was her plan fifteen years ago, she doesn't know how things may have changed.

Why cant they know sooner? It must be horrible to grow up not knowing how your father is, they could be told when theyre younger than that, as soon as theyre old enough to understand.

Yes, exactly. No one knows what she's told her boys (not that it's anyone's business) but people will ignore that fact because it inconveniently gets in the way of their need to be outraged at her alleged 'selfishness'.

IMO that's just wrong. The rights and needs of the child should be paramount. Jeremy Kyle would have a field day with that part of the story

Withholding this info is not fair for medical reasons among others. Say the child needed a donor or donor match.
