Transferring Android apps to another device

I have an app on a Nexus 7 that I downloaded from the Google Play Store, but I want to use it on another tablet that is not certified for the Play Store. Is it possible to just copy it across (I understand I have to flag it as a non Play Store item when I install it).

yes... though its a bit fiddly, and requires an extra app. Here's how I do it.

- Install ES File Explorer on the source device
- open it and select App manager.
- find the app you want to copy, long press it and select backup. This copies the apk(the android version of an install file) from the system area, which isn't easily accessible by users, to a new folder called 'backup/apps', which can be easily accessed.

- Transfer apk to destination device using your preferred method (e.g. bluetooth, dropbox, copy to/from pc). I just email it to myself, then open the email on the target device.

On the destination device:
- Enable the "unknown sources" box in settings->security
- Open apk.

Thanks, that looks pretty straightforward
