Well done, Philip. I don't like him but he said the right thing there.

Yeah well, good for phillip S. Why should other numpties get away with stuff when PS has to be careful what he says and does.
BTW, Di Compo is a bit of a silly man. |

Oooooooooo awkward! Something lingering in the background on that show. Holly and Phil both looked royally peed off.

Difference is Holly didn't say a word, she never does even when you can tell she is pissed off by her expressions like the clip above and Phil's own slip up over the "NAMES ON THE INTERNETZ".

I've never been a fan of Gino's anyway but I like him even less now. Good for Phil for pulling him up on it.

At first I thought Phil was joking but he brought it up a few times in a 'jovial' kind of way but I definitely ended up with the impression that Phil was mightily p!ssed off about it! I wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall behind the scenes when the cameras aren't rolling!

Phillip Schofield always strikes me as a petty little man.
He's also a totally useless presenter, but that at least makes him perfect for This Morning. |

This is the same man who didn't have the integrity to apologise on This Morning for accusing an innocent man of being a serious sexual offender and got Ruth Langsford to apologise on his behalf. He himself didn't apoligse live for his completely irresponsible actions.
He is gutless and a complete coward. |

I think this just shows how important PS thinks he is. Regardless of what he thought of the comment, he could have handled it in a much more professional manner. They are all at the end of the day in a place of work, and in his position it is pathetic to see him put someone down like that. There are far more mature and professional ways in which he could have distanced himself from Gino's comment. It's similar to a boss putting an employee down in front of all their workmates - I bet Gino was most peeved!

Gino can look out, he'll probably get the sack now. After all what Schofe wants Schofe gets. I'm not really all that keen on Gino but I hate the power that Philip seems to wield at This Mornng and I thought he behaved abominably over list gate, didnt bother apologising in person and got Ruth to do it on his behalf, very cowardly.

That was way ott imo. Gino's comment was crass but nobody would have cared if Phil hadn't drawn attention to it like that. It's like he wanted to humiliate him. Very unprofesional.
![]() I'm not Gino fan btw... |

Gino's comment was unprofessional and as has been said crass. Crass is 'insensitive' or 'grossly stupid' so could be said to be unprofessional in a TV presenter.
Philip was crass in the list debacle but that does not make him wrong in everything. Evev if there is antagonism behind the scenes, that is purely speculative, and he was still right to put a stop to such talk. I think there would have been complaints about Gino's remarks myself. |
