Seeing as today and tuesday are bank holidays does this mean that O2 customers are charged weekend call rates?

According to the O2 Online tariff guide weekends are 'Midnight Friday to Midnight Sunday' - no mention of Bank Holidays at all, so I would imagine normal weekday & evening pricing probably applies.

Because vodafone are more organised than O2, they offer better services, In my opinion every other network is better organised than O2!!!
