Tbh it's often the same legends doing the 'returning' usually anyway.
I mean, does anyone get that surprised when Hacksaw Jim Duggan turns up nowadays? ![]() The fact that Austin hasn't appeared for a while means that when he does it'll be a bit more special. Oh, new thread! |

About time we got a new thread.
So, according to PW Insider - these are the top 4 Mania matches.. * Sheamus vs. Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship * Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar * CM Punk vs. The Undertaker * John Cena vs. The Rock for the WWE Championship CM Punk vs. The Undertaker would be great. |

Would mean Cena is winning the Rumble. Not exactly surprising, but Ryback needs it more. Unless the Ryback experiment is cooling. |

I think a moment of quiet reflection in this new thread is required to ponder over the $50 million Hogan/Cena main event we sadly never got to see.
http://www.tmz.com/2013/01/15/hulk-h...rgery-lawsuit/ Oh and Percy Pringle (Paul Bearer) was insisting on the pwtorch podcast a few weeks back that Taker is in constant pain with his hips and there is no guarantee he can do Wrestlemania, though I suppose it's possible Pringle was trying to work the internet. |

Randy Orton is apparantly set for some time off for personal issues.

Cena hasn't been champion for quite a long time, so it's inevitable that he would be champ again this year.
Maybe they should have said "Once in a lifetime... or until we run out of ideas for fresh Mania matches"

At least if Cena does win the Rumble match, we won't have the same scenario with the Rumble winner in the opening match at Wrestlemania for the third year in a row.

To avoid the Re-matches i'd propose
Sheamus vs Lesnar.. two big powerful guys and Sheamus could take a beating, lose and still some off strong Punk vs Taker...... Just has to be done Cena, Ryback and Orton Vs Sheild.......... At which point Cena heels turns (we are all expecting Orton) Rock vs Big Show............ Give show the strap back, unification Match, Rock wins but Show gives him such a beating he has to vacate the next night on RAW Wade vs Cesaro ........ another unification bout, set it up for the next Era of WWE with a streamlined title scene AJ vs Kaitlyn......... AJ wins the belt but bins it saying she is not a Diva, she is the women's champion. Team Hell No vs PTP vs Rhodes Scholers.......... Rhodes scholers wins, Kane explodes taking them all out before vanishing, only to re-appear later after Punk has taken the streak, Kane destroys Punk vowing vengeance for his brother. |

Assuming Rock wins the title at the Rumble, I assume he will defend (and retain) the title in the Elimination Chamber match?

The first WWE DVD release from the new distributor is next Monday.PPV's are only £1 more than Silvervision (on amazon), which isn't too bad really. DVD and Blu-Ray sets are about £4 more (assuming prices don't change again).

I refuse to watch another John Cena match ever again.
It really is a joke and makes people like Ziggler seem weak. |

Cena vs Rock 2 was always gonna happen and since it looks like Cena will get the win this time round i'm glad it'll happen and i expect WM 30 main event to be Cena vs Rock 3! |

I'd rather have Rock vs Cena vs Lesnar.
Rock beat Cena. Cena beat Lesnar. Lesnar beat Rock. Throw in 'Taker vs. Punk (The Streak vs. 500 day reign) And DX (HHH and New Age Outlaws w/X-Pac) vs. The Shield. |

CM Punk v The Undertaker for the title would be a great idea if Taker planned on retiring. What better way to go out than to end his career as WWE Champion.
They could hold off on crowning a champion until the June PPV and have a tournament similar to TNA's Bound for Glory series with the top 4 meeting at the PPV. |

I think the card for WM would be more flexible (and appealing) in if Brock Lesnar returned at Survivor Series or Royal Rumble to lose to HHH. That would have ended that feud (which I doubt many people want to see again). It would also have meant Rock and Cena wouldn't be likely to face each other again.

The greatest and longest champion of the 'modern' era against the legendary streak. Rock v Cena doesn't need to be for the title unless it is used as a way for Cena to redeem himself and get 1) the win over The Rock, 2) the title back. The World Title, there is no excuse why this shouldn't be at least a fatal four way. There's Del Rio, Big Show, Sheamus, Orton, Ziggler. Mix it up a little. Midcards, Cesaro v Someone pro American, perhaps the time for Swagger to emerge at long last or someone else to get the Wrestlemania moment. They have the talent and the feuds, they just seem to be going down the wrong route. |

What if they booked 'Taker to defeat CM Punk by DQ at WM 29. I know we don't like DQ's on PPV, especially 'Mania, but it would be surprising. Punk would continue his reign and be able to say 'Taker couldn't make him submit; 'Taker would go 21-0.
IMO, if Rock, Cena or 'Taker take Punk's title it is a mighty waste. This could put somebody over huge. |
