Sorry if a thread like this already exists, but the forum search is dead right now.

Just wondering what streams everyone likes to listen to, and in what format (mp3, realplayer, wma, ogg etc).

If I ever listen to Radio1 on the PC, I have to use RealPlayer, but when ever I have the chance i use WMA.

I listen to various BBC, ABC and RTE channels in Realplayer format which is pretty good apart from the noise Realplayer makes when it changes bitrate. I wish more people would stream in OGG format. That gives pretty decent quality even over a modem. It is not like it would cost them extra to add an OGG stream as the encoder is free.

Realplayer format is nice but I don't like RealPlayer itself as a player. On Windows it is bloated, annoying and always trying to sell you crap and on Linux it hasn't worked properly since version 8.

My pet hate is stations which only do Windows Media format. I don't mind them offering it as one of several formats but it should not be the only one as it makes life a real pain on Linux and I hate to surf from Windows.
