How can i get the settings for vodafone data for pay as u go?

Can i send a text to get then downloaded like you can with O2 as when i try to get online its saying its the wrong APN.

Try the app “Tweakker” to set the APN’s from Play Store if it’s an Android phone.

Has work every time for me but you must be connected to Wifi to set it up as it uses a server to get the APN setting and of course it can't do that if your APN setting are not set correctly.

Another recommendation for Tweaker. Tried for approx an hour to get 3 internet settings on my nephew's phone manually, installed tweaker in desperation and worked first time. I wouldn't go the 'manual' route ever again.

How do I set up my phone for internet access and picture messaging?

Get your internet (GPRS) and picture messaging (MMS) settings by text.
Text web to 40127
We will send the settings directly to your phone - you may need to accept or install them to make them active.
If you need a PIN, we will tell you in the first text message we send. The second text/configuration message will be the settings.
However, some devices may require you to enter the settings manually.
Your Mobile Data and MMS settings should be:
Pay monthly / Business
APN: wap.vodafone.co.uk
Username: wap
Password: wap
Pay as you go
APN: pp.vodafone.co.uk
Username: wap
Password: wap
iPhone
If you have an iPhone you will need to be connected over Wi-Fi to receive your settings by text, or you can enter them manually.
Go to:
Settings > General > Network > Mobile Data Network
HTC (Android)
If you have an older HTC phone using the Android operating system you may need to enter your settings manually.
Go to:
Settings > Wireless & Network > Mobile networks > Access Point Names
