Nexus 7 problem

16-01-2013
Hi, I bought my son the nexus 7, 32gb model for Xmas and when he tries to go in Play store it just closes instantly and when he tries to download things it says chrome has shut down. Could anybody suggest a way of fixing these problems? I would be most grateful, thanks

Don't use one of those magnetic leather cases they cause havoc with the screen

In what way? I have such a case and all it does is put the Nexus 7 into standby when I close it.

My sons screen started to grey out with the magnetic leather case on the nexus 7 ,probably not the answer your looking for but try it without the case to see it'd it may be the cause

That sounds more like you've put it the wrong way in the case.

Heard of this before. Can't remember what fixed it, but go into Settings > Apps, find Play Store and Play Service, hit Clear Data and Clear Cache and Uninstall Updates if you can. Reboot, it should (I think) reconnect and sort itself out.
