does anyone know if you can get a y cable for the iphone 5 yet.

had one for my iphone 4 that had a dock connector on one end and usb and 3.5mm jack on the other end that I connected to my car so I could use the headunit to control the ipod function

That will never exist because Apple removed that ability from the socket.

Music control and analogue audio output are supported on Apple's Lightning to 30 pin adapters, so they may work with your existing cable, but people have had mixed results with them.
