One problem with this would be, if you didn't have the internet speeds required to run it.

Thanks for sharing. Nice to see some visual proof at last. As for speed - I've been saying that all along. If somebody is only able to receive the low-end fibre speed, they're not going to benefit at all. Pay Infinity prices but receive a slightly better than normal speed depending on what they're watching and recording.

It will get better in time but this is still very very early days.

Thanks for the link, but theres something seriously wrong with those screenshots.

CH875 Discovery Real Time - shows the Sky Sports DTT DOG.

Sky Sports 2 - Does show the Sky Sports DTT DOG. And thats not correct. As it means it's not showing an IPTV stream. It's just showing CH42. Which I would expect.

So those screenshots are not all they appear to be.

It is possible to show the popup EPG for one channel whilst watching another. This explains the DiscoveryRT info overlaid on a Sky channel. And I'd expect IPTV SS2 to be on 42 because thats the same as BT have done with the DTT version. Not sure about the Sky DTT dog though on SS2 though.

Jeez.. Talk about conspiracy theories. Absolutely nothing wrong with any of those screenshots. Some users need to relax.

Is there an image missing? I'm sure there was one showing live NFL on Sky Sports that's now been removed?

They are pretty meaningless, whether or not they are correct. Poor report really.

We won't be able to judge until we see some motion footage of actual programmes.

I've heard around 8mbps speeds are only needed to streem HD (yes I know some people can't get even those speeds).

Agree completely. It'd come down to whether or not they manage to sign up HD versions of the pay channels they've already secured. SD won't be too much of a problem to anybody but losing 16Mb from a low-end Infinity connection when watching one and recording another HD channel wouldn't be ideal. It wouldn't matter if you were getting 70Mb speeds though!

What would you call 'a low-end Infinity connection'?
