I want to buy an ipad - please help! :)
For those who have an ipad or know about them, can anyone suggest which one to buy please?
I don't want to spend a lot but would like to get a half-decent one. Just looking on websites and the cheapest I can find is an APPLE iPad mini - 16 GB. Any good? Thanks in advance

It depends on what you want to do with it and how much you want to spend really.
First you will have to decide if you want to buy an ipad mini or the full size ipad. Again it depends on what you want to do with it. If you intend to carry it about with you then you might want the mini because it is more portable. If you want to watch a lot of movies/do work on there you may prefer the larger ipad. You should also consider the differences in screen resolution. Do you want a really high resolution screen (large ipad) or do you mind having a non retina display which is good but obviously not as good as the retina screen (mini, ipad 2). You should also consider the capacity of the ipad you get. Once you have bought your ipad you cannot expand the memory. This will also come down to what you want to do with it. If you want to store all your music on there, have a lot of apps and store movies on there, you may consider getting a 32 gb or 64 gb ipad. You could consider what you will use it for and go and have a play with a mini and a full sized ipad and see which one you like. |

Thank you for all of that. What I want it for is just the internet really. I want to stop using my laptop as much (I watch iplayer a lot and go on the internet a lot of the time) and just use my laptop for word documents, itunes and photos.

there are cheaper alternatives such as nexus 7 for around £160.
but if you just want an ipad then they can all handle basic internet basic browsing. ipad mini 16GB isaround £270 should be fine or if you want something with a bigger screen then ipad 1 is cheaper and still do basic internet or ipad 2 (which basically has the same specification as the mini except bigger screen size) is another £40. |

16GB goes no where and fills up very quickly.
Ah the days when 3gb hard drives were exciting and cutting edge. |

Buy something that isn't overpriced and has a mini SD card slot like an Isus. |
