Spam is hugely popular in Hawaii and if you go to many cafés it will be on the menu.
I kid you not.

Spam fritters - thick slices of Spam coated in batter - lovely

Cheesy Spam Bake - fried cubes of Spam, diced fried potatoes, put in an ovenproof dish, top with grated cheese and grill until the cheese is melted - delicious!

No shame in eating things you enjoy, OP. Just maybe keep the Spam for an occasional treat.

and also popular in the smaller pacific islands.

(also said to be one of the reasons they are obese).

Spam Sushi is a favourite over there

I bought a tin of Spam with Bacon just before Christmas out of morbid curiosity. In almost fifty years of life I had never had Spam. So I cubed it for pizza toppings, then finished off the tin eating it, lightly fried, on toast. Damn tasty.

As tasty as a, say, gammon steak or sliced seasoned sausage? Emmm, possibly not. But if I was building a survival bunker I'd pack a corner with the stuff.

Not a fan of Spam. It tastes too salty for my liking.

Corned beef is awesome though, and chopped port out of the butchers is similar to Spam, but for me tastes less salty.

Fried Spam doesn't sound nice to me, I think it would boost the saltiness :s

I bought a can of Spam a few years back and a long time after I'd had it previously. Tasted fuggin awful and got fed to the seagulls.

The spices in there made it taste a bit like vomit.

Though if you like it OP then once a fortnight will be perfectly healthy - as long as the rest of your diet is okay.
