I like the use of lava-lamps in the Daleks control room, groovy.
You really can't tell it was made in the sixties... |

I do have to say that the matte painting for the mountains was particularly good

This is not a bad film. I watched it about 3 weeks ago! Daleks Invasion Earth is OK, but let down by the special effects. Still, a pleasent way to lose 85 minutes!

We've just stuck the DVD on. I was just wondering what it would be like if it became a proper film franchise and went on for years. I guess it could have gone one of three ways, either the film franchise carried on alongside the series and wasn't canon in the actual series, the films were so popular the BBC partnered with the filmmakers and scrapped the television series or the films didn't do so well and they didn't bother making anymore.

I quite enjoy it, the daleks look great
![]() Mind you the countdown at the end is silly, it must take two minutes to get from 24 seconds to 13 seconds lol!

Does anyone know if there's any likelyhood that the movies will see a blu ray release?
I was surprised earlier to find that they're only available on DVD. |

I love Daleks Invasion Earth 2150 AD! Daleks being as murderous and deadly as they should be. One thing that has always troubled me about this film and the original serial.......what the hell was that dalek doing under water!!!!??
Its a great moment in both the film and the original serial, but seriously wtf! |

(I believe the reason why the Dalek was in the water was explained in the book, but it is a long time since I read it. |
