The Band Perry put on a fantastic show last night at The Ritz Manchester. Great to see a top band in a small venue.

I love "I Miss You" too. I only really listened to that one properly a couple of weeks ago but it's a beautiful song. All in all, it's a very strong debut album.

I like old time country like Glen Campbell, Patsy, Loretta, Dolly etc, this modern guff is not good, Taylor Swift is absolutely awful.

I recently started listening to Carrie Underwood. I don't think that she has been mentioned in this thread but I quite like her. I was listening to her "Blown Away" album on Spotify the other night. It's likely that I'll be adding it to my collection very soon.

Good Girl
Do You Ever Think About Me

Anyone else like her music?

Lately i've been listening to "Sacred Hearts & Fallen Angels: The Gram Parsons Anthology".
This covers his recordings as a solo artist and also his work with The International Submarine Band, The Byrds, and The Flying Burrito Brothers.
All great stuff!

I mentioned her on the first page I love her! After never doing a live show over here, I've managed to see her twice more since her Royal Albert Hall gig. At C2C last year, and at the ACMs in Vegas last year too. So three times in less than a year!

I can't really think of a song of hers I don't like. I think you need to add all of her albums to your collection

I'll be adding some of her music to my collection in the near future. I'm listening to Miranda Lambert a lot lately as well. Country is pretty much all I've been listening to in the last few weeks.

Miranda Lambert announces a new album entitled PLATINUM. Take a listen to one of the singles that will be included on the album, "Automatic".

Thoughts?

What a weekend at the o2, great acts in the arena and on the pop up stages and fantastic news that Kacey Musgraves has announced three dates.

Love a bit of country (the username kind of gives it away). for those who like Kacey Musgraves, check out Brandy Clarke's 12 stories album (she co-wrote Mamas Broken Heart, plus some of Kacey's own stuff).

I wasn't able to go this year. I went to both days last year though, and it was excellent!

Well, I certainly like me a bit of Country Rock. The Byrds, Gene Clark solo and, particularly, Michael Nesmith's early solo albums like Magnetic South and Nevada Fighter. Pedal Steel-tastic!

Oh, and early KD Lang. Then there's 'Alt' bands like Wilco and, maybe pushing it here, Sparklehorse.

Edit: The Jayhawks too.

Just bought Miranda Lambert's "Four The Record" album. It has some really good songs on it. "Mama's Broken Heart" is a corker. I love "Fine Tune" (had that one stuck in my head all day Friday and Saturday) and "Baggage Claim" along with "Fastest Girl In Town" too.
