Loving Country Music at the mo. Watching Nashville got me started. Bit of a mix listening to Sara Evans, Martina Mcbride, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, The Band Perry, Eric Church

Miranda Lambert is a favourite of mine. I really like Little Big Town too. I need to add "Tornado" to my collection. |

Miranda's just announced a "Certified Platinum" tour but there are no UK dates, unsurprisingly. I don't think that she has a big enough fan base over here to tour, sadly. I'd love to see her live.
I think i live in the wrong country for my music taste

I've just ordered Little Big Town's new album, "Pain Killer" I've been listening to it on Spotify for the last week and it's really good. My personal favourites are "Good People" and "Quit Breaking Up With Me". I need to add "Tornado" to my collection too at some point. That's a great album. Quote:
Real shame, I would certainly go.

I've been listening to Brandy Clark recently and I've just purchased her debut album, which was released late 2013. She's co-written songs with Kacey Musgraves including "Mama's Broken Heart" for Miranda Lambert and "Follow Your Arrow", which is on Kacey's album.
She's also nominated for "Best New Artist" at the Grammy Awards and even though it seems unlikely that she'll win it's still great to see her get the recognition, like Kacey did last year. Stripes - Brandy Clark |

I've probably mentioned it before but the Showcase channel (402 on Freesat) has a number of programmes of country music. The most recent one I noticed is Bluegrass Ridge.
There is a mixture of old and new videos but some of the presenters will not appeal to everyone. I usually record the programmes and watch the videos that I like and skip the ones I don't. |

For those of you who can't get to London for the C2C (Country to Country) Festival at the weekend, make sure you check out Radio 2's pop-up channel Radio 2 Country from Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th.

Miranda Lambert has released her video for new single "Little Red Wagon" - http://m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=TQK0d72Jom8
Kacey Musgraves played a relatively new track, "Biscuits" recently. I believe that it is the new single. - http://m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=qXoSyjtzrpc UK country duo The Shires have announced a UK tour for next month. I am going to the date in Medway. My parents bought the tickets for my birthday. Full tour dates here - http://m.ticketmaster.co.uk/The-Shir...artist/2026637 Their debut album "Brave" made it into the UK top ten this week. here is an Amazon link if you are a fan - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brave-The-Shires/dp/B00KHEUC9S. I've been listening to this a lot and I really like it.

I don't normally listen to country but was listening to radio 2 the other week and heard Ward Thomas' song, Town Called Ugly and liked it. I've checked out their site and YouTube and think they're pretty good.

I saw The Shires locally the other night. They are very good live. I don't think that there is much vocal tweaking in the studio for them because their voices were flawless!
very impressive. They released their first album "Brave" earlier on this year. It's a very good debut, in my opinion. |

I'm in need of inspiration.
I listen to a lot of female country artists and next to no male ones. I want to change that. Who are your favourite male country artists? |

Not sure what genre she should be put in these days, but I'm loving the Venus album from Joy Williams (formerly 50% of The Civil Wars).
