How to connect my Macbook Pro to my Panasonic Viera Link TV?
I am just wondering if there is any way in which I can connect Macbook Pro to my TV so I can use Netflix and Now TV, without having to look at my smaller screen?
My Macbook Pro is about 6 months old and my TV is a Panasonic TX-P37X10B Viera Link. If possible, what cables would I need? Cheers.

You need one of these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-MB570Z.../dp/B001IF5YLQ and something like one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neet%C2%AE-D.../dp/B001LJBJQS Which will get the pictures to the telly. To make some noise you'll also need a lead like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Metre-3-5mm-.../dp/B000NHOMSQ If I've found the right manual on-line you should be able to plug the Apple adapter with the DVI to HDMI lead attached into the Displayport socket on the Macbookand the HDMI end into either HDMI 1 or HDMI 3 on the TV. The use the jack to phono lead from the headphone socket on the Macbook to either the Component Video section Audio L/R sockets if using HDMI 1 or the Audio L/R sockets of the AV3 group if using HDMI 3. Of course if you have an external sound system you can use the jack to phono lead to connect the Macbook direct to the sound system. |
