Madness to buy a 2nd hand phone ( at any price certainly not £150 !! ) unless your gran had it for 10 mins first and gave it to you . Far to many issues . Buy a NEW Huawei G300 circa £120 at Argos - 4 day battery life , very good sound and clear screen + fantastic . Its not a Nexus 4 or a Samsung s3 but its a quater of the price and its NEW !!

Second hand is ok if he goes somewhere like CEX, there will be a few of each model to choose from. An a physical store to go return it to if something goes wrong.

The S2 is a great phone an was only released mid 2011 it will also be getting jellybean soon. I would take it over the much newer Nexus 4.

Even better at circa £70 from Very or Isme (i accept a bit of hoop jumping to get it at this price!). Details on HUKD. I too wouldn't entertain a second hand phone. |

Ive used CEX loads of times to buy and sell phones, only problem with them is if your buying they charge an extra 30-50-80(depending on phone/age) quid on top of what they would actually sell for on ebay or gum tree etc
But CEX is great if you NEED a phone and quick, but not if your wanting to buy at the best possible price. And can i just add, ive had about 3-4 iphones from CEX and ive not had one single issue or had to go back for anything, so all in all a good experience from me |

Sorry but the Huawei G300 looks cheap. I really don't like its looks. I was thinking about a Samsung S2 to be honest. I want quality and reliability.
