I don't understand why ya'll are banging on about them being together for 10 years? Atleast 4 of those years they've released no music and went and done there own things. Just proves this whole 'farewell' thing is just to cash in on the money otherwise they'd have done this years ago.

To me they've been as good as split up for the last few years. I think it was obvious that they were never going to get back together full time again because they all seem very happy doing their own thing nowadays and they've made their money now.

I was never a fan so can't say I'll miss them but they did well during their time as a band so fair play to them!

Not a surprise...surely everybody saw this coming? They should have done a better collection for ther greatest hits than a half arsed attempt at 'giving the fans what they want' when all they did was give them memory of you and a bunch of tracks that were already available and if a GA fan then the fans wudve had the tracks anyway...don't think they have come across as the UKs biggest girlband in recent months-actually think they've shown themselves up as not bothered for their fans at all...and I'm a GA 'stan'...time for them to step aside and for Little Mix to take over-all four of them can sing not just Nadine and Nicola with average Kimbo and Cheryl and backing screecher Sarah...hard to believe I was there biggest fan until they came back lol

I'm not too surprised. I didn't think they were going to get back together full-time, especially with Kimberley and Cheryl having solo careers. Are Nadine and Nicola releasing any more albums? I think Sarah is supposed to be going solo as well.

It wasn't 11 years though, was it?

December 2002 - what, April 2009 is six and a half years and then November 2012 - March 2012 is four months so they were in the industry for about seven years. Still impressive for a girl group but I'm bored of people exaggerating. Were The Spice Girls together 11 years because they came back for a Children In Need single and a tour, too?

Even though this is not surprising (whether The Sun article is true or not), it's a shame that this article comes across as nothing more than a cynical attempt to sell more tickets.

It even mentions they'll probably add more dates once the news breaks just to cash in within the same article

None apart from Nadine have good voices. In fact the other 4 have terrible voices. But they managed to compile quite a collection of great Pop songs in their time. Girls Aloud as an act is vastly superior to anything they've done solo but with Cheryl being a celebrity in her own right the reunion was never going to last.

I really hope that Cheryl doesn't get by on her looks. People need to wake up and smell the coffee that she cannot sing. Even Jonathan Ross was taking the mick out of her in Kimberley's interview that she can't sing.

I really really also hope that Nadine and Kimberley get the success they deserve and that its not all about Cheryl. Funny that she reported is marrying Tre as soon as this is announced. The girl will do anything to keep her in the limelight, she is clever. Even if its bad press, press is good for any celebrity.

Nadine deserves to be a worldwide success and if Cheryl makes it in America it just shows what the world has come too. Although I can see her going back to Simon once the offers dry up for money.

The spice girls split up and announced it but Girls aloud were taking a break and never split up.

The Spice Girls never announced a split they just parted ways straight after the release of third album "Forever".

I am not surprised at this being the end of GA this entire reunion has flown under the radar and Something New was an awful comeback single it should of been Every Now & Then.

I would hate for them to announce an official split plus Kimberley said they never would but lets face it, it doesn't exactly feel like they are together anyway! Can't wait for the tour!

A little surprised as they hinted this tour wouldn't mean the last, but they have a good legacy for British Girlbands. Plus, i would like to see more solo work from Nicole and Nadine.

Gutted.

I love all of them and will always support any solo projects - but nothing is like when they're together as a band.

They've been responsible for some of the best pop songs in the last 10 years.

I honestly am devoed if true. Even though I kinda expected it after Cheryl's book virtually confirming it! I guess I just hoped she / they'd change her / their mind(s)!
