Three bad experiences?
steve007

I tried Three many times in the past and recently with many different handsets. I and friends found the following problems:

Call Dropping when mobile in car
Poor voice quality
Limited 3G coverage (80% - same as Vodafone in 1991!)
Poor customer service
Browsing Limited to Three's own sites only
I'm sure there are many more reasons not to use Three for your main handset.

Orange's 3g network is, FACT, far superiour than Three.

Anyone else experience problems???

I have had problems with cs and call dropping etc but i'm still keeping my LG U8120 for my calls as it's cheaper than T-Mobile although will it work out cheaper since my calls are only 10p/min on T-Mobile?

Well I bought a three phone today - on the prepay tarriff. Great phone, shame about the network. Voice wise its fine. Call quality has improved since i tried it a few months back, but so far I've had error messages while trying to browse the portal and missing images too, so far from perfect - feels a little unstable while browsing, having to reload pages to see ALL images and links timing out as well.

I've got some business taking me north and south next month, so i might just report back what I think. If the voice part works as well I it does for me locally everywhere I go, I might just admit that on the voice front Three have cracked it. However, I'm almost certain that 3g wise its failing to meet expectations, probably down to network topology. If the weather video I watched earlier is anything to go by, quality and performance has got to be improved if Three wants to be taken seriously and not get overtaken by other 3g contenders.
