From listening to the DVD commentary, some scenes were cut from the original film, do they still exist? & could they be edited back in?

It would be good if it were released in HD too, 2013 is the 50th anniversary after all.:)

Hope the anniversary is commemorated. I think 3 or 4 of them are still with us, well into their 80s & 90s but I'd hope would be up for an interview if not getting them all together.
