I didn't think anything could top Fives first attempt at CBB for sheer awfulness, but this series comes very close. After getting it so right last year I thought maybe we'd turned a corner but this had to be the most manipulated series of Big Brother I've ever seen and I've watched every single one! You've got two people, Spencer and Heidi who seem to be dictating how the show is run and are getting the most ridiculous preferential treatment I've ever seen on BBUK, then you've got Rylan and the others might as well not be there at all. Whoever thought it was a good idea to stick Gillian Taylforth, Tricia Penrose and Claire Richards in there needs the sack, and Razor is the worst replacement possible for Jim Davidson.

It's utter crap, and unlike in previous years no one I know is watching CBB, they gave up after a few days.

It doesn't give me much hope for BB14 this summer.

Completely agree. It's woeful. I genuinely don't like one of them. The only hms I felt any warmth towards at all were Paula, Sam and Gillian. It's just the battle of Speidi and Rylan - the US famewhores versus the UK's new generation fame whore. Utterly depressing stuff.

I think its been ok, Speidi have made it for me, excellent HMs. BB has always been manipulated, its just these days they arent so subtle about it

Without Speidi I wouldn't even watch it.

This is a problem for me as well Patsy, I don't like any of them. I couldn't give a shit who wins, though it will probably be Rylan.

Last year's was worse. It resembles last year tbh. The baddest bitch gets evicted first, then a new villain arises and stirs trouble in the house for a few days before it sizzles out to calmness again.

Certainly not the worst ever. There are series' that I didn't even bother watching from the start because they looked boring. At least I was compelled to watch this one.

Its consisted of Heidi vs Rylan with the other housemates not getting a look in. It was obvious from Gillians interview that we have not seen anything of what the others have done. Trish is supposed to be funny and we've not seen that. Razor has had a bit more airtime but that's probably because he's a big character.

I would like to have seen more of Ryan and Frankie but that's probably cause they don't play a up to the cameras. Martin Kemp said that they hear the cameras and some housemates start acting up to them. Its obvious who in this series.

I think there are always people who deem the present BB as the worst.

The only people who have kept my interest is Speidi.

And me, im a big BB fan but agree with the OP it has been the worse by far, Speidi have kept me as a viewer, it would have been a pilot show for Rylan if they had not been there.

I agree worst so far. Not worth watching without the American input and I never said that before.
Has to be the choice of people. I don't care enough about any of them. All dull as dishwater sorry.

Terrible. Speidi entertain me, Rylan annoys me but thank god for him as well.

The others all suck, and the female cast has been without a doubt the worst of ANY series.

Love them or loathe them the Pratts and Rylan are the only ones who have made any effort to entertain. They deserve to be the final 2 imo.

Totally agree VD. worst ever, the producers out of touch with what the public want. The only people to have been featured for any length of time are Rylan and spiedi. They are the money spinners and so are wanted by the producers to come first and second.
How do we know what the rest do? we hardly ever see them.

It could be just the female cast being crap, or it could be the ridiculous imbalance of the Pratts' coverage. According to Gillian they've been largely absent in the house, whereas everyone except them and Rylan has been largely absent from the edits.

It's not as bad as CBB8 or 2, but yes after those series it's the worst.

The fact that they are considered the best of the bunch just proves VD's point.

without speidi, i would have stopped watching day 2.
having said that, even with them in there, it has been pretty poor.
i often feel embarrassed watching it.
are we all so bored that these desperate no-names in these manipulated, contrived scenarios really merit our attention?

It is the most manipulated bb's ever. Yes, it is all about speidi and rylan. But the only reason speidi are there is to make rylan look good.

Rylan's been given the fun tasks,to make him look good, and speidi have been given a couple of tasks that's designed to make either them or the other hms react in a negative way..

Had any other hm been put in the basement to observe what other hms thought of them, then there wouldn't have either been the same negative comments or they wouldn't have reacted as speidi had. So who better to stitch up than the foreigners?

I totally agree that only Speidi and Rylan have had airtime and that has really ruined the show for me - but what they've made of that opportunity has been down to them. Speidi just ain't nice, Rylan simply is - in my opinion. Even if they'd had each other's task I think the end result would have been the same as their characters would still have been shown.

It's worse for the other HMs (and us) who we never got a chance to know and make an informed opinion of.
