I'd be very surprised if Five didn't already have a show lined up for Rylan when he leaves he house. Would explain why the keep pushing him for a win.

Think u r spot on there. I think the other housemates will be surprised at their lack of airtime. Its a shame we haven't seen more of the others. We viewers have been brainwashed with having to watch Rylan and speidi. Can't remember another series that has focused on only three people.

I think the fact the last 2 series of cbb on c5 were brilliant, makes this series seem even worse than it perhaps is ?
its clearly missing Jim Davidson. Hopefully they get him in the next cbb.

i totally agree with you .......... the highlights have been very poor .we saw this by watching gillian's best bits ,because half of it wasn't shown

its been the speidi/rylan show since day one ..........

Well just look at rylan. He went mad when just two hms called him "fake "two hms that he doesn't even like. Just imagine had it been ten or the entire house who he thought he got on with who had called him fake, he would have gone into meltdown.

Now had it been rylan who had heard all those negative comments aimed at him, and then bb took him into the diary room to ask his opinion on his fellow hms, I'm sure if not all, he would have had something negative to say about a few of them.

But instead he is given more tasks than the rest of the other hms put together, and none of his tasks ,possibly with the exception of the first one, brings him into conflict with his hms.

The "devil and Saint "task, pretty benign. The sobbing task, likewise. The overthrow of the dictator, a fun task.

IMO They decided the storyline before the series started, all based around the Pratts and Rylan and have edited accordingly.
Far too much manipulation. Without BB giving the Pratts their script, they would have disappeared into the woodwork.
Dull and unimaginitive couple devoid of any real character.
Who knows what we would have seen from the others and what may have developed, we were never going to see them.
Very clumsy and egotistical production.

Although this series has been kind of poor it has been much better than the series which had Amy Childs Jedward Kerry Katona and the Paparazzi guy with the fake six pack this line up had quite a few big names but was dull overall.

Trish is supposed to be funny according to Gillian, not the others or from what we've seen. Those two are two similar thinking they could coast it through.

No way - I still remember the embarrassment when they did that scene in CBB8 of 'Darren Lyons tells some boring stories' set to Adagio For Strings. Most ridiculously manipulative edit they've ever done - it's not like Darren needed any help looking like an idiot. This year's edit is lop-sided but I can believe dullards like Claire and Tricia are more worth ignoring than Pamela/Bobby/Tara, who were all more watchable than Lucien/Kerry/Amy.

I think this is the most boring CBB except for CBB2 though. It's so low on memorable moments - even more than the bad patch of CBB6-8. The Rylan vs Speidi argument was the only decent part and Razor killed all the drama there.

I have to say I agree with you and Patsy. I haven't warmed to one single housemate. Originally I rooted for Ryan as I love his character in Neighbours but sadly he's not what I thought at all!
Not sure why I watch but usually because there's not much else on and having invested time in it, I feel wrong to give up on it. Also I keep hoping it might get better.... but NO!
As for who wins - who cares?

It's the worst CBB after CBB1, CBB2, and CBB8.

The only reason I haven't switched off (and this isn't the worst series of CBB ever) is because of Speidi.

Ths has been the Rylan and Speidi Show. They have been the only HM's providing any entertainment value at all. Speidi are professional reality tv stars. Who they are in real life is impossible to tell. Sometimes I quite warm to them especially Heidi. Rylan is funny and is honest in his way. But, between the two I couldnt care less who wins. It is so contrived, disapointing and by far the worst CBB ever. The others could disapear and I wouldnt notice. In fact, some have disapeared and I havent noticed.

Disapointed. Disapointed. Disapointed. Even this forum is tame compared to usual. Many people just cannot be bothered as they dont have a firm favourite.

Sorry to moan but I usually love CBB.

The series with Vinnie Jones is also one of the worst series.

That's fine. I really enjoy watching Rylan and like his pesonality - and I don't like Speidi, they come across as very shallow and simply not very nice, to me.

That said, I think both Speidi and Rylan have benefitted and been disadvantaged by the massive amount of airtime *BB* decided to devote to them. And that's neither of their fault!

Most of my personal opinon of Speidi has been founded on the convos they've had in private with each other, or away from the housemates, because i do realise just how much they have been set up by BB. Just like the other HMs have been.

I do my best to try and see past the controversy BB conduct... And based on what I've seen otherwise I stand by my view that Speidi have made themselves really dislikeable (if aparantly popular for 'performing'), where as against all my own preconceptions I have found Rylan to be really likeable!

I've enjoyed this series as much as any of the others.

Yes, I thought it was very revealing when she said that they seem to sleep all the time. The excuse for Sam never being shown and being evicted early was that he slept so much so BB had nothing to show. Speidi have been VERY lucky.

Yes, contrived is the word. On one level it is like the first Ch 5 CBB: those who liked Jedward enjoyed it, those who didn't like Jedward hated it because they were so dominant. But actually they weren't to anything like the same extent; the other housemates did get plenty of footage.

This one seems to have revolved 90% round the American stars. It just isn't good enough for people to say, "if the others were doing anything interesting, BB would show it"; almost all the interest of Speidi has been CREATED by BB. They are quite dull people when not given a storyline: painfully self-absorbed, the least willing of all housemates to look silly, and, as we have found out, sleeping for half the day.

It is very hard imo for non-Speidi/ non Rylan fans to feel passionate about anyone; they others have not been shown much, and when they have been given tasks they have been bland ones involving little emotion, and often very half baked. Frankie was quite sweet as a dictator, for example, but it was a weak, tepid role, entirely scripted - in fact largely consisting of reading scripts. Ryan's heaven and hell task was not even half baked - barely even warm. Compare the very similar task on the first night of BBCH and you can see how much more thought they had put into the challenges to make them difficult and funny. "Go and make horse noises to Frankie" indeed.

Yeah, this one has been pretty bad, I'm finding it hard to keep tuning in which is rare for me. The overhyping of Speidi has been a big factor, their shtick got old by the start of week 2

They are making sure that Rylan wins the show. If he does I will never watch another Big Brother again. I want to see a show where everyone gets the same chance to win, and not a set up.

Well to begin with this thread was asking whether or not this was the worse bb ever, to which I said its manipulative and all set up for rylan to win, thats the point I'm making.

Also I do not support any hm, so I'm looking at this show objectively and if people can't see that this show has been slanted in favour of rylan with his 101 tasks and the other hms getting next to nothing,then I think they are watching a totally different show. And looking at that last task speidi has the fake bb blog, whilst surprise, surprise, rylan plays the part of "Suzie "the super fan.

I agree Rylan's had more than his share of air time - but Speidi have had as much if not more...

And that has ruined the show for me. I wanted to see more of the HMs I actually knew about - that's the whole point of a CBB in my eyes, yet the two main chracters by BBs choice I knew nothing of before

That said, I've grown to really like Rylan and think he's an admirable winner and I hope he does. Though I think a Speidi win is just as likely. All engineered by BB though - we can hardly blame the HMs

I'm not saying that they haven't had their fair share of airtime, but there's a difference between good publicity and the type that they have recived and that which rylan has.

Rylan has received a lot of publicity through tasks, speidi have made their own headlines.
