Well,

I did, for the first time today, lose all my Sky Sports and ESPN channels. Properly. And was greeted by just a black screen with a white dot on it.

I've fleetingly and occasionally lost the channels before, which has been cured by pulling out and the re-inserting the subscription card. But this time - nothing. No 'Please insert viewing card', and no 'viewing card recognised', nothing.

So I hard rebooted the box, with the card in, by pulling the power cord out and then re-inserting. Five minutes later I got the channels back.

And all the SS problems I have experienced have only happened when the footballs on. Including trick-play facilities going haywire (press pause and then flick back an hour anyone?). But again, this happens only when the footballs on.

And YouView from TalkTalk users are having massive problems accessing these channels too.

Grr. Bloody Sky.

Small consolation for you I know, but since Sky's new EPG was launched late last year, my live pause and rewind facilities have failed every couple of days and when they fail, I lose most of the channels (it says "no signal"). Then, I have to do a complete reboot as you did, power cord and all.

Guess what? It happened during the football yesterday (I momentarily forgot NOT to ever do pause or rewind during important programmes!)! It's a Pace Sky+ HD box I bought myself a few years ago so I'm stuck with it. GRRRRRRRRRRRR @ Sky but isn't your issue a problem with the BT box, like my Sky box is my problem?

I lose my sky sports channels quite regularly on bt vision. I have to reboot the box to get them back (quite annoying as I've lost them at half time quite a few times). Not happened as much recently (touch wood), was every few hours at one point.

And its also happening on Top Up TV services and the Sky Sports TalkTalk boost channels too. Coincidence? I think not. But now I better shut up.
