Mobile Phone Reasons For Not Connecting

Hello, I came across this forum as part of an assignment I am currently working on.

I am looking for some information on when you would encounter these mobile phone error messages (upon dialling the number).I believe they are called Operator Intercept Messages?

Any links or websites that I could use as reference points would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.



1 - "Sorry. This number is temporarily out of order. We’re sorry for any inconvenience ”

2 - "Sorry. The number you have called is not available ”

3 - "The number you have dialled has not been recognised. Please check and try again ”

1 - There is a call bar on the line (Phone lost/stolen or cut off for non-payment).

2 - Phone is out of coverage and has no voicemail set up.

3 - Rather obvious this one. Wrong number called or line terminated.

Thanks for your reply. What is the source for this information?

Although you state 3 is a rather obvious one. I have it down as Network provider placing number into a state of Spare Number/Spare Code, I was trying to figure what triggered this? Phone bill not paid so after X days number sent to be recycled??
