What is your favourite fighting game and why?
Out of the following in the poll, which one has been your favourite?
For me, as much as I like all of them, Tekken has always been the best one for me. From the graphics, music, stages, characters, gameplay and overall franchise. I have just loved every single aspect of Tekken and find it more enjoyable that the other games. |

Mortal Kombat was always my favorite back in the day. I spent hours on MK2 and MK3. Recent titles didn't really do it for me though.

MK gets my vote but Tekken is also a favourite.

Street fighter 2 was pretty much the iconic game of my childhood. It marked the moment when home consoles began to overtake arcades as the premier gaming platform.
However Soul Blade was my favourite fighting style game of all time. Tekken was very good but Soul Blade was better. |

Of those in the poll, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, Dead Or Alive & King Of Fighters are all my favorite's in the genre & I've played or owned all the games in each series.
I'm less fond of Tekken & Virtual Fighter, I still play them but I don't enjoy them as much as the others. Also like to add Blazblue & Guilty Gear, Both are great franchises which I'd recommend to anyone who's into fighting games. There's also the Marvel V Capcom games & going back to the PS1 I really enjoyed X-Men mutant academy, Used to play that with a friend all the time back then. |

Out of those in the list, Street Fighter. Probably because SFII on SNES was the first one I ever played. Have loved the series since then. That said, I do have a strong affinity and appreciation for Tekken, again out of those on the list.
I'll also second the "vs." series of games, with Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom being highlights for me. |

Yie Ar Kung-Fu on the c64
seriously though SF2. Most popular game in our Arcade by a long way. All other games that followed stood on its shoulders. |
