David Boreanaz is quitting Bones
David Boreanaz is considering quitting Bones after its eight series it has been reported.
It's such a shame as Bones is brilliant, do you think the show could carry on though without David Boreanaz? I doubt it as David Boreanaz is the main lead and really sexy ![]() http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/s11...th-season.html |

Linked article says he CONSDIERED quitting (past tense)? Bones has been renewed for a ninth season - hence why he mentions that he talked with the producers and "sat and talked hard about character development" - i.e. he'll be in season 9

I don't watch it anymore. Suddenly realised I was watching the same episode over and over again. Like some kind of mental "Groundhog Day" scenario. Should David Boreanz actually quit, they probably wouldnt make anymore.

I am glad he only considered quitting as I dont think the show would work without him.
Last series was pretty awful especially the baby being born episode! But it seems back on form this series |

Watching Bones is great if you're an insomniac, it gets you to sleep in no time.

Er he is not schizophrenic (as far as i know) he IS the producers but you are funny, seriously hilarious, you should do stand up. All this is code for shut up unless you know what you are talking about!

It started great and now just a boring shadow of its earlier seasons.

Well I love it just as much now as I did in S1. The ep shown in the US last night was one of the best they have ever done. This season is the best since S5 IMO and I think if you liked it then you should check it out now.
Also if the OP had actually read the article this thread would never have existed. |

I don't know anything about this but I know countless examples of say footballers coming to the end of a contract and publicaly saying they want a change and then it comes as no surprise a month later when they sign a lucrative new deal and they say how much they love the club. What the poster said about money is not totally unrealistic so try not to abuse anyone. You don't know for sure what happened either. |

Wasn't Brennan pregnant in real life. Given she is co-lead they could not hide the bump like Van Pelt in The Mentalist, so had to work into the story. Given she had no boyfriend in the story they had limited options on what to do.

Yes Emily Deschanel was pregnant in real life and there didn't really seem to be any other viable option for explaining it. Which is why her weight didn't fall off two seconds after giving birth. But certainly not the writers choice given they had only just written in Angelia's pregnancy.

It was pretty enjoyable for the first few series, but it seems to have gone downhill since it became all about the babies.
It was bad enough when Angela and Jack had theirs, but last series was almost insufferable.... Haven't seen any of the new series yet, but if they're still bleating on about babies it may well get dumped in this house. |
