Exactly.
Forgetting about the NTA's for a second here. EastEnders,Corrie and Emmerdale shouldn't clash and it doesn't matter if it's the BBC or ITV putting a clash out and it doesn't matter if EastEnders or Emmerdale gets the head start because it really shouldn't happen. There is viewers of both soaps and of course it doesn't even benefit the show its self.

I think ITV1 could have put Corrie out on a Thursday as a one off. They could have found 30mins on Sunday also

I'm not too bothered about Corrie winning the NTA,Good on them but tbh I don't think the BBC actually said anything, It's just the Mirror stiring rubbish up as usual

Terrible snow and strong winds across the North with no one venturing out, I reckon ratings could be very high tonight. Tomorrow sees a rapid thaw and rising temperatures, with some heavy rain later on in the West, but I think those who couldn't get out tonight will chance tomorrow night and ratings will be a usual.

During the Local News on BBC1 at 6:30 they said how the Met office has updated it's Alert and now includes heavy snow in the Southwest. Well there's no sign of Rain or Snow but it is much warmer (compared to what it has been lately)

Splash is moving to the Olympic park next series where it will be filmed in the big Aquatic centre.

stupid question maybe, but why was it not done at Olympic Park anyways? I suspect its one of the easiest places to filming diving in the UK.

Countdown needs to move back to 3.15pm ASAP - and it's probably no coincidence Deal or No Deal has fallen since that moved too. Face the Clock does end next week with another cheap quiz show (The Common Denominator) hosted by another random C4 presenter (Phil Spencer) replacing it, while the Sandi Toksvig show is filming a second series too.”

I couldn't agree more with this. A little investment could go a long way. Plus Countdown has to be moved later in the schedule (I think it should be cut to 35 mins and start at 3.25pm). Face the Clock will be cut after 20 episodes, despite having a 30 episode commission. Common Denominator looks ok (but so did Face the Clock, and look how that turned out). 1001 Things was good, and if they re-schedule it could be even more successful than it was.

C4 has a really stale Daytime line up and it's not surprising they are really suffering. They just need a mega clear out.Having said that C4 is stale all over. I would never have thought that great new and brash interesting channel in 1982 would have come to what we have now.

Good news for BBC One though.

No surprise BBC1 rose, although ITV going up did shock me. Tipping Point has brought their ratings up big time, and scheduling it and The Chase together was a stroke of genius. Credit to ITV for that.

Channel 4 is dire. No life in the daytime schedule. My suggestion;

3.25pm - Countdown
4.00pm - Repeat factual (Come Dine/Four In a Bed/River Cottage etc...)
4.30pm - Deal or No Deal/Five Minutes to a Fortune
5.30pm - New show (1001 Things/Come Dine/Common Denominator/Coach Trip etc...)

Deal or No Deal ending at 5.30pm and The Simpsons starting at 6pm acts as a bridge for the 5.30pm slot, and would certainly help to build momentum in the key 16-34 demo. Would certainly help to boost the audience of the 5.30pm show. The current 'new shows' slot between Countdown and Deal or No Deal drags down the audience, and builds no real momentum. From 3.25pm, they should be building momentum, with the climax at 6pm (The Simpsons) when the audience is usually quite high.

I think C4 need to totally start again. Your suggestion I think would be good in the interim but after that I would like to see all new shows. It's radical yes but in my opinion it's the only way you find new audiences.

There comes a point were you can squeeze no more life out of a TV show and the same goes for C4 and there old show. I would like to see them trying to fix countdown and getting it back to how it was when RW was still alive. Because it used to be a great laugh more than DOND ever was.

All new shows that don't involve the same old faces! I will kill myself if I see Jamie Oliver one more time when I switch on to C4.

I only put in the shows to illustrate what kind of shows would be in which slot. I agree about Countdown. It has lost something, especially since Jeff left. Him and Rachel were brilliant.

A clear out is needed, but they need to stagnate the change. Gradually introduce changes, and when a few hits have been established, then make changes. Risk-taking has to be cautious, especially with C4 in the position it's in. It's the junctions that need changing, immediately.

The temporary seats have been taken out of the centre as part of its post games usage with a smaller capacity.

It hasn't stopped snowing here until midnight, nothing is moving and it took me well over an hour to complete my journey from work. However, as the Freeview went off twice here, I decided to catch up on some Channel 5 films I've recorded. Yet I do expect ratings for the soaps to be up to 10 million for Corrie and 9 million for Eastenders, these two always seem to be at their best during bad weather. Also CBB could do well tonight.

I think the show played out as perfectly as it could have done from a ratings point-of-view, especially with that top 2. Although Rylan was a very predictable winner, the self-appointed villains of the series Heidi and Spencer were sort of the unknowns of the final, and personally I didn't expect them to do as well as they did so it sort of kept me guessing all evening.

Emma Willis looked absolutely stunning on Bit On The Side, even more so than usual. Whatever they pay her, it's not enough. Get her on the main show now !!!

The snow might have worked for ratings in the north if half the north hadn't been stuck trying to get home in the snow, took me 3 hours to get home by bus and that was only after I got of the bus that had only moved 100 metres in an hour and walked 2 miles in a blizzard to the front of a huge traffic jam and got another bus there, must of saved another 2 or 3 hours journey time.

The Celebrity Big Brother Live Final averaged 3.25m (14.6%), up on last January's final which averaged 3.14m.

5 minute peak: 3.83m (18.4%).

Is that up on the launch rating? And how does that peak compare to previous C5 finals?

What did The Dumping Ground on CBBC get?

And per that Great Night Out rating, it's just not connecting with viewers is it. But, as mentioned, give it a repeat run in the summer/autumn and see how it does before deciding on a second series.

Well like I said half its heartland was still struggling to get home in the snow.

Slightly down on launch night for CBB, but highest rated final ever on Channel 5. Great result for Channel 5, even more so when considering how boring the series was compared to last winter's!
