Samsung TVs:Software Upgrades
My TV is a Samsung UE32EH5000 LED HD 1080p. Have seen that software can be upgraded manually via USB but am not clear whether there are OTA upgrades. The TV has shipped with the latest version - will a message appear onscreen when a new version becomes available OTA, or will it just upgrade automatically OTA, or do I have to keep checking the Samsung website and download via USB. ( My set is not WIFI connected).
Thanks. |

Another thread on here was about an update to a smart TV. It was a 350MB download or something like that from the website! I would very much doubt that an update of that magnitude would ever be an OTA update. It would take forever
![]() So I suspect apart from relatively small patches to the firmware any serious upgrade would be via a download from the website. |

I'm still seriously dubious that an LG TV would have anywhere near enough memory for an upgrade that large?. |

Possibly so. Mind you even 32MB would be a tad large for an OTA update as well I would think.

Download the user manual and page 121 will tell you what you need to know, but have a look at page 119 as well, to find out how to do the upgrade using the remote control: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/co...VBEU4E-ENG.pdf
