I'm divided on who I want to win this match. Azarenka is one of my favourite players but I have always loved Sveta. She can play fantastically but she her mentality is awful. I think, assuming Serena wins, that Vika would be a better match-up, but Sveta on fire would also be good. The problem is you just don't know which Sveta is going to turn up.

I think I want Vika to win but I'm going to be sad for whoever loses because I like them both.

Nah! I see Serena as a shoo in for the title.
What's the decibel level like?, I've got it on complete mute, but no remote, so I'll only get out of bed if it's low. It's OK but not great watching silent tennis.

(Unless it's Castle commentating, in which case it's an absolute necessity )

Annoying a little but not too bad if you keep the volume low which is what I'm doing but I'm not too bothered it And don't get me started on Castle

YAY Vika takes the opening set can relax a little more now

Well that was a pretty good showing. Azerenka it is, then, maybe you'll get the Sloane Steven result BBmad.

Now Serena.
I can play my drinking game now. A large swig of brandy if she's wearing a self designed monstrosity, a cup of tea if she looks normal. ( The brandy usually wins and I had a ball the year she wore that black wet-look hot pant mess. I needed double vision to cope)

Finally a new thread.

Wonder how Kuzzy would've played in the 2nd without the ankle roll. Don't think Serena will be too troubled by Sloane but let's see. I hope Chardy tests Andy and takes a set.

I've decided it's a coffee, laced with brandy, outfit. Not quite monstrosity level, but not good enough to confine me to a cup of tea.
The ubiquitous headscarf clinches it! Sloane's visor is much more becoming. #old fuddyduddy

Neither player getting much of a chance against serve so far. Sloan hasn't dropped a point on serve yet

I hate watching matches where one player is injured, but I'm SO willing Sloane to win this.

Amazing how quiet Serena has played isn't it? Bit like all the grunters who practise quietly but let the decibels raise the rafters on court. Total gamesmanship, which thankfully is absent here.

No sleep for me till post Fed. And you can bet your bottom dollar that I'm hoping Tsonga takes him to the wire and finishes around midday. Ah well, I can sleep the rest of the day if the dog shuts up. Might frogmarch him out before Andy starts, but he's snoring his head off so that might be animal cruelty.

Typical. The one night I'm struggling to stay awake for the Murray match is also the one night that Serena doesn't destroy her opponent...

Mystic Meg can sleep easy

Serverena was injured, but still. Fair play to Sloane, she'll fly up the rankings now. Cue Vika and Maria breathing a huge sigh of relief in unison
