Looked like the ball boy was lying/covering the ball and Hazrd kicked it out from under him.

The ball boy then held his ribs (like a true pro )

Ballboy definitely made a meal of it, red card was very harsh imo

The ballboy is probably in the dressing room now having "wound make-up" applied!

Only a footballer can get away with assaulting a kid

Shame on Alan Smith for trying to playdown the incident claiming he kicked the ball which hurt the boy

The ball boy played a blinder there!

Even if he was feigning injury, the players do it so why shouldnt a ball boy?

But it did look like Hazard put the boot in.

Did the ref even see it or was video evidence used as in the case of zidane.

Either way id have done the same. as Hazard. Egit of a ballboy.

The ballboy takes a kick for the team. He'll be borne aloft in the dressing room soon.....

The boy made a meal of it, but still -- can't really blame him.

Despite the ball boy trying to waste time you don't react like that, he clearly kicked him and caught him, it would obviously have hurt, so I can't see why he would feign injury as suggested by some.

As if there weren't enough reasons already to detest Chelsea FC.

No doubt we can look forward to tomorrows papers full of either :
a) ballboy with sad face showing off bruises, or
b) ballboy all smiles with repentant Hazard handing over signed shirt and spouting humble apologies

Btw subs, injuries (such as swansea player getting mummified) and ballboy surely means 10 mins added time, or is fergie time not applicable to chelsea?

Sky manage to thumb through the regulations and decide the referee was right in his actions. Only took them 5 minutes!

I don't think many of us needed the rule book for that one.
