Questions On Whether Following Foods Can Be Grilled In A Microwave Grill Or Not?.....

When it comes to foods like garlic bread, pizza's and yorkshire puddings from supermarkets and it says on the packets "not suitable for microwavce use" or words to that effect, does it include microwaves that have grills or are they talking about microvaes that don't have grills?

Or is it safe to use a grill microwave for those above listed foods and if so, how long should they be grilled in a microwave for and should the defrost option be used first and if so how long?

Thanks in advance

I'd say they mean not suitable for conventional microwaves without a grill. If you try and microwave a standard pizza you just get a soggy mess.

I would imagine using the grill function in the microwave would produce similar results to using a conventional cooker grill.

galric bread, pies, pasties ect just go soggy in a microwave.

The alternative is if you leave them in too long then the water vaporizes and you are left with somehting solid, or even burnt (i've done that with a part baked baguette).

Using the combi-oven/grill is fine though.

Do you mean a microwave combi grill/oven? If so thats good as I have recently bought one and the instructions are not great on it but on the touch screen display, they do actually have pizza and other things listed, so that should mean they can be used on a partial basis?

I suppose I'l have to go with my instinct on if they are cooked ok and ready to eat or not as the cooking/grilling times are not there in the instructions.
