They might like that you can make the font smaller though and use the screen real estate better.

Aint customisation great?

No. I accept there are different phones at different price points. Better and value are subjective.

As for very good phones, well i guess that's personal preference. I despised mine!”

And this goes back to the point I made earlier. It was often claimed that apple sold loads of phones because they were cool. And now they are not.

How does anyone explain then that they have just sold more phones in one quarter than ever before

Because *everyone* is selling more phones than ever before. The premium phone market is expanding.

The company itself is still doing brilliantly and has over $140 billion in cash reserves.”

About time they took a leaf out of Bill Gates book, and start to do some good with that money then. Might help the share price too if they upped their philanthropy credentials.

But why are they choosing iPhone! According to people here they are not cool and that was the only reason people ever bought iPhone

I think you will find that the iPhone is getting more and more regionalised.
It flies out the door in the US, sales hold up in the UK whereas its sinking like the titanic elsewhere.
Thus the budget phone talk.

Not that good if your Kidspud type still marvels over it, then buys Android anyway.
Is it?

BTW I don't know if anyone's done an analysis yet. But considering the very seasonal nature of Apple sales, it might show an actual fall, all things considered.

Is that is what is happening? I've not seen the regional sales breakdown.

Edit: some of whay you say does not seem to make sense. Apple say they achieved their highest growth in mainland china.

And I don't know why you think I marvel over it, what a strange this to say.

Mind you I do this my iPad mini is excellent.

If you don't marvel I shudder to think what someone who does would be like.

If you go from 0.0001% to 1% market share that would be your highest growth would it not

The mobile market is expanding hugely apple is not .. you have to accept facts painful a they are to you.

China was part of that accelerated launch which got sales reasonably close to the slow launch Q4 2011.

Investors have not yet bought into 'production is now ramping up' either. Considering all the supposed delays surely sales are now meant to be accelerating?

I don't think your interpretation of my views count for much

I agree, that would be your highest growth, but it doesn't sound like "sinking like the titanic"' but it doesn't matter, I now realise that was just an emotive phrase.

Painful to me Think you are taking these chats too seriously.

Wow, you seem to know more than the analysis. You must have a very good source.

So, is china sinking like the titanic or not.

No not sinking like the titanic I wouldn't be that dramatic a lot slower than that so no need to panic so yet.

China has the biggest growth in the world economy atm. It would be devastating if Apple weren't even growing there.

Proportionally, fewer and fewer people are.
Apple may be selling more handsets than they have in the past but they are losing marketshare almost across the board.

As paulbrock said, everyone is selling more smartphones but other companies sales are increasing faster than Apple's.

The N7 is for more casual browsing or gaming but if I really want a big screen i use the MK802 plugged into the 46" TV

All the does is lower the pixel density even further.
The exact opposite of what Apple touts about the 'retina displays'.

Seriously?
They've been going on about it since the iPhone4, it's kinda difficult to miss.

This is of no difference if the resolution is not increased with the screen size, so you tried. I hear the Nexus 10 has a very good screen though.
